Sir Force A Lot (Partially done from memory):

The Master was the one that surprised me the most; why was there such a sudden interest in it?

2543
There we go, that's done it.

@Vert, my commiserations for not making it. If it means anything, I put my money on you being an honourable mention

2544
I'm not seeing it, neither page mentions being updated as of 2011

2545
Conraa, where did you read those?  I looked all over and could find any Hall of Fame news.

Voting is closed, the results will likely follow later today 6 hours.  Mark commented that he was getting a lot more ballots from the UK than hte US.  I don't know if the US ever caught up, but based on that information, here are my predictions:

New inductees:
Professor Chaos
Maelstrom
Big Nipper
Warrior SKF

Honourable Mention:
Explosion
Thor/Metanoria
Ripper
Anticide
Gyrobot
Upheaval

General Support / Swtich a BMP for a TGA?
« on: August 10, 2011, 08:07:28 PM »
I'm working on a custom-skinned Emergency flipper, and I got to thinking that it would look neat if I could make parts of it invisible, tranpasrent via a TGA file.  Transparencies don't carry over when you convert to a 24-color BMP, so what if I went into the GMF and replaced "flipper1.bmp" with "flipper1.tga"?  Would the game accept that?

And you know damn well I am not passing up a chance for the race based joke,

Fair enough, but at least tell me this; did you follow Spiderman before this?

Did you even read your own article?

I read somewhere that you could imporve output by adjusting your graphics car, but when I ran dxdiag, it wouldn't let me change the settings.

My graphics card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 set to display 1280 x 800.  Could that be the cause of the problem?

Alternatively, if anyone knows of any other good screen recording   programs (if paid then with a money-back guarantee) that would be cool   too.  I tried ZDSoft earlier today and it lagged just as badly.  I'm starting to wonder if my computer is the real problem.

Does anyone know a reliable sourcewhere I can get the full version of Fraps 2.7?  I tried Brothersoft, but it's the demo version.  Normally I'd have reservations about pirating software, but I got sold a lemon, they owe me a working version

To clarify: the game itself goes all slow-motion when I'm recording with Fraps, not just the palyback.  I'm recording on low-quaily, 640x800 (the smallest from the menu) non-fullscreen, soiund off, 20 gigs of free memory.

This never happened when I had Fraps 2.7 on my old computer.

I'm just about ready to take my computer to a field and re-enact that sledgehammer scene from Office Space (Probably will once I get a new computer)

Thanks.  Currently the front thingee is just an Emergency flipper, would it work if I just modded the GMF file to have a TGA as the skin instead of a BMP?

Tantrum and Mute look fan-<expletive>-tastic, Sonny. Should the flipper on Mute not be a bit further retracted, though?

Thanks. I wasn't sure what to do about the flipper, it was too difficult to make the body exactly parallel with the flipper, and I was really happy with that particular bodyshape and didn't want to scrap it.  But that's the maximum retraction I can get on that body without the flipper being inside.

Anyways,I did some work on Tricerabot.  Couldn't be bothered to redo the body but I changed the flipper, moved the head and horns to the proper position, corrected the skin, and redid the extenders surrounding the body

What's the type of fish that hide under sharks?
I think I know which one you mean. Similar to Remoraid and Mantyke in Pokemon.

The answer's actually right in front of you; the fish is called a remora.

Tantrum.  Does anyone know how to get rid of the rims on the stock discs?

I think you're going to like this.  It's a clusterbot; I made three   cardboard replicas for this one.  This is √3, designed to look like a   racecar when the 3 bots hook together.  They've got magnets hidden under   their shells that allow them to link up to each other like the real   thing.
