Well for a anti HS thing, a hybrid ram/hammer is THE solution. Or an armored popup.

Putting up a ramplate V at the front of your bot is best for me. Or a rack of irons. Besides, it's worth for a LW, because it takes time for a LW HS to destroy a ramplate, largely enough to pin it against a wall.

But I had to admit that this caster armor is much effective against HS. I've tried caster armor on a HW hammer, but that was difficult to put on and not really efficient because of crappy placing of the casters.

For WTF... Well, looks mean. (And if you kept silent i wouldn't have remarked at all this chassis copy!) But next time make a HW VS that could beat grog. Or perhaps you want to launch a DSL SHW AI pack ?

Very good job on WTH, bot and skin. One problem: the double magmotor isn't supposed to be a drive motor. It's a weapon motor. Tried this a long time ago on a HS (A long time ago!): for the drive train, Four Drive TWM3R's is WAY better than two TWM3R2.

So you could retrograde the double to simple (drive version, heh!), perhaps put a grippier wheel, perhaps add some side armorbut most important AUGMENT THE REACH of your undercutter. Longest weapon (perhaps a vlad spike will work? not sure... an overkill blade could too but IDK the weight of these), or put these spikes on an extender.

I'm sure of something: You're definitely way better in HS than in VS.

Are you sure you'll gonna close the registrations today? Because they're not a lot of contestants...

I guess I'll built a bot tomorrow (it it 2:36 AM there)

Well...

-Dont use ant batts when you can use battlepacks
-These motors are lame, try using four drive TWM3R's with hypno wheels on... it owns badly
-Are you sure this thing is balanced?

New bot. Certainly the most effective of my heavies. Two-hit-killed Little Darling, one hit killed Leprosy

Decent against Neglected Waterbug

Pain In The Arse

Type: HW popup
Weight: 733.6
Power: 2 black batts
Drive: 4WD, GrannyGuards on bursted HP Zteks
Weapons:A total of 6 razors, 3 on each weapon arm powered by DDTs
(Flipper not used)

(This is more a prototype than a refined version, because I wanted to try it badly so I built it quickly)

+ Good speed
+ Good front defense
+ Nice damage (although less than some SCv3 popups like 3-2-1-Blastoff!)

- Vulnerable wheels
- Bursted drive train makes him tricky to drive
- Chassis too high
- Still weight to use

That's all. I'll made second version soon, and with a... retarded skin...

Scorpions are very tough, I know.

Well... some things like the BotM, if you build good DSL HWs then it's time to show up your botskillz!

I guess this arena would please Apple... huh, but not me.

By the way this is my little LW sawbot, with a front titanium plate used as wedge and very good defense, and a minion disc.

Nice one.

You dont need a srimech: you can make it invertible by minimizing the chassis, putting the drive TWMR3's (or something like that) a little higher, and using bigger wheels. Pussycat's wheels could be interesting. But first he must go on a diet. lmao. You can use lighter extenders too. They're nearly not exposed to damage so you can use a weaker material than steel.

The only downside of invertibility: reverse controls (pisses me off badly), but invertibility is lighter, faster, and less power-consuming than a srimech.

Very good job on the skin's round holes.

Yes of course to all files! The files are the most important.

Have a look at the Install Components tutorial I made. The technique is described here.

And for reinstalling the game without deleting your bots, you go into the bot lab, you export all of them, then they are, as .bot files, in the Robot Designs folder that you can copy elsewhere. Then you will not lose them.

Guys, I know how to use 10kg skirt hinges (dunno is the name is right, the black extender with a white square which is actually a infinitely weak burst motor ), but what about thhe other hinge, the metal hinge?

I never understood how that thingy works.

Remove the "read only" option of folders in your AI folder before copying the battlebots pack there.. Or reinstall RA2, then make the previous removal, and install your pack.

45k?  That's awesome for a LW !

Well this BotM surely "forces" us to do our best... actually my winning HW VS is my best HW in DSL and perhaps my best VS too. Just a BIG problem of it getting stuck on it's side... well generally with the rear srimech he manages to self right but it is quite random and not reliable...
