There was a UK vs US show in RW at some point. The UK obviously won, as Mentron made sure the US bots were crap. 
There was also an unaired episode with Razer in with all the other all-stars, ie Tazbot, Biohazard, Nightmare, Blendo...
You consider Tazbot and Blendo to be some of our best robots...?

The devil's in the details. The guy was comparing Series 4 of Robot Wars to Season 1.0 of Battlebots - the erstwhile most recent things from their respective countries. I'm going to gander that the PPV and underground US RW competitions weren't available for viewing at the time in England. So it IS fair to say that at the time, Battlebots was the "rookie" show. Even if you include untelevised battlebots competitions, that still comes out to 3 competitions over 2 years against Robot Wars' 4 series over 4 years. Also remember that the only UK vs US occurence was that crappy bot Prometheus from the 1st world championship
I meant his prediction for it to have little success, mostly.

Extract all files to a copy of your RA2 folder and overwrite everything. the files not in UI or AI need to go into the games main directory.
so, if i have Inf AI right now, i would just overwrite it, along with the components folder?
Just use a clean copy, numbnuts.

I've been wondering... On a flipper like that, is there a tether on the flipper that is also attached to the chassis to keep the pnuematic ram from over-extending and coming apart, or would such a thing even be necessary?

Well, to be fair, we are distributing their game for free, so they wouldn't get anything from this.
It's essentially abandonware... Otherwise, I'm sure they would have a lawsuit against ACAMS. They just don't care about RA2. Even if they did, I would like it if I created a game and it still had a cult following ten years later. You would think they would be glad to help keep it alive. Then again, if you think about it, maybe they won't release the source code because they do want RA2 to stay alive... If we get a hold of the source code and modify it enough, RA2 is no longer RA2, in a technical sense.

Well, whatever... You have to bear in mind that I don't build but about once a year and I don't build generic bots. There is no reason to build something that has ben built to the exact same specs by 20 other members, in my mind.
Also remember that this is a CW... CW bots require sacrificing something that a HW wouldn't need to. Since CW is a fairly new class, I feel that there will be a lot of trial and error to get configurations for the class right.
And I will never be up to your standards, 123. I just don't have the time or patience for it.

Reply to the source code discussion, incoming...
While it doesn't hurt to make another attempt at contacting Gabriel, ACAMS has said several times that they have tried everything they can to get Gabriel or Atari to let us have it to get no results every time.
My personal theory is that Gabriel or Atari lost the source code and are too embarassed to admit they screwed up so they ignore our emails, letters, etc. I may be wrong, but it seems like the most plausible reason in my mind.
