Aw nuts... that was not the outcome I was hoping for. :P
White text Spoiler:
Guybrush would have stood a decent chance against SD's bot. Mainly because the wedge would have triggered the nervous srimech. But, alas, I have the joy of losing to Roboshark again. Perhaps I should put in my sig my losing record against Robo :P I do not expect Guybrush to fare well at all against his mace-laden HSer. Not a chance.

Hey Reier... if you need a bye bot... you could make a LW replica of that fat bot from the "Angry German Kid plays RA2" on youtube. :P

Look at bounty hunter's small wedges. Notice how there are blades behind them. A lot of other popups do this. Look at PITA 8, it does the same thing:
Protection my friend. By putting those blades on top of the extenders. It is less likely that the extenders will get damaged and knocked off. The wedges are vital to the effectiveness to those designs, so protecting the extenders with blades is a great way to keep them on... and the nice thing about the blades is that they are very flat, so it does not hinder the wedge capabilities of the bot. I think Psycolone first implemented this building technique... but i could be wrong. Edit: This is how I figured out how to stack a board in a black... (with practice) I created a max-size guinea pig chassis to test on and placed control boards through the chassis at different heights. The control board set at 4 notches high would hit the sweet spot on a black battery in two different directions. (stacking the battery over the board that is) I found that the easiest way for me to stack them is to place the control board on the chassis first (four notches up) and then put the battery over it. If you practice in a super sized chassis you will get an idea of where the sweet spot is for that combo.

hehe the website has been down a lot today
:O mine broke the 100 barrier :-D Yeah, I dont know about anyone else... But I have clicked on your CFTW every day now. And yesterday I also took a few moments to level it up while at my in-laws house on their shoddy computer with slower-than-death satellite internet connection. It took nearly 10 mins just to process the GTM thread... and then another 5 to level the squibby. That is my early x-mas gift to you joe.

I still want to have this question answered. Also, how do you stack a control board into a black battery? I don't really understand what you are asking with your blades question. What do you mean? Could you show us an example? If you give me some more details I will answer your second question a bit later when I have more time to write.

Didn't Nary beat Doomaster?
Just sayin, coz Doom's still in the bracket. RD 3 Losers bracket: Naryar vs Doomaster543 *** fairly average match, nothing to special. perhaps a little short in length though Doomaster wins 2-0 Did you see a match that the rest of us didn't?

Looks like steady improvement. Awesome.
Next Step: Try to focus on making a really small chassis and build a bot with that. Try to shrink Insane Hurricane's chassis down to about 1/3 of the size it currently is, and build the same setup (without the redbirds because everyone seems to hate on them) Good work so far, I am really impressed with your progress.

I don't think I will make the deadline on this particular one... Too much stuff going on for me lately. I might cobble something together tonight in 5 mins with losing intentions :P

Hey if you feel like mixing it up some... I have most of the Twisted Metal Series songs. Gooooooood bot fighting music that would mix well with the CnC music. Let me know if you need the songs.

Double Post... Registration ends at the end of November.
How come people are not interested in this tourney? It seems like a fun/easy DSL trip. Some of you guys probably could make really awesome bots that would qualify for this.
Come on! You can do it!

welcome to GTM Mchale. If you can handle a ton of critisizm... take a few screen shots of your bots and post them in a showcase. Show the insides of the bots and post specs like weight and components used. People will give a ton of flaming feedback.
Oh and a few of the main rules that will keep respect on your side:
Don't mix DSL and Stock components. cheat components are frowned upon... have fun with them... but don't brag about anything you have done with them... in fact, just dont showcase any bots that have cheat components, trust me. Some of the vets will pick apart your bots with fury at first... but dont worry it is for the better. It will help you improve. :D

Is it a bad thing if I can't even remember what bot i entered in this tournament? Haha! join the club. I totally forgot about this tourney until I saw a MW in my bot list that I made for it. When I saw it I couldn't for the life of me remember which tourney I entered it in... It is the main reason why i bumped the thread when I figured it out. :P

Question:What is the wwe wrestler Christain's finisher called? BONUS:Who is Christain's enemy? Avalanche *cough* LRA2 *cough* ... I didn't start this thread so you could put on quizzes to test peoples knowledge of wrestling. This thread is made for people that want actual answers to questions. If you have an actual question about something that you do not know the answer too (and it is not easily found online) Then that was what I was hoping people would post. Everyone else: So far so good! great debate/conversation more or less. Jonzu: Don't be a douche... the chicken wants to get to the other side.
