Obviously you should ask that to Pyscolone. Because he is the only one to know something about this.

IDK for The Chain Saw. It is perhaps better, seen that the wheels are less exposed. But the side irons are certainly better than axes.
...Glitches, glitches everywhere... guess i'm happy with eFFeing. 24864

Flippers/hammers are pretty difficult to do effectively, especially in AI. Because the theory of the hammer is: the closer your opponent is to the ground, the more damage it does. The longer the swing is, the better is the damage. So if you lift a bot and hammer it at the same time, it does less damage.
My all time favorites stay Hammer/Rammer and Spear(poker)/Hammer. 24865

Nope. Venko's amazing-very-unique-bot-that-wins-vs-100%-starcore has two snappers.

I'm in, but if CB's competing, I can only dream of winning.

Discussion / Headcrab/ jumper idea« on: June 14, 2008, 02:27:38 PM »
This is no jumper bot, but a glitch bot. When there are a lot of pistons it starts to glitch.
Jump bots are difficult, really difficult, to make with pistons. I tried, but no. Jump bots are better made with bursts. Ever wondered why no one made a decent srimech with pistons? 24870

Coal Miner can be annoying, decent train and decent weapon, but he has really weak armor for his size.

O for... lets see... Oblivion, Oppression, Obscure, Occultist, Odious... there are plenty...
I'm trying to figure out that snapper loading glitch... but looks pretty messed up. EDIT: it is indeed messed up. I give up. 24875

The soda can combo is really nice. I like this small drum.
Yeah, this looks pretty big to me, for an AW. I've seen antweights with the fourth of the volume of this bot. 24876

Pointless comment.
CUDA, will you post a pic of all the bots competing, like CB did in BBEANS? 24877

My comp lags to death and so do DSL. I'll just have to finish my DSL bot and I'll send it to ya.
Btw, I like the name. But it is "Annihilation" EDIT: OK. Both bots are sent. (or it is "sended" in that case?) 24879

Yea. I noticed that GTM is slowing down too. Agreed, I do want to see new showcases.
There was a rush of the old forum users (You, Inf, Psy...) to Gametechmods, it lasted one week, and started some days after Atari deleted the Stock part of the forum. For a while. But even if it is dead, it is the official forum and people are still posting on it precisely because it is. This rush is now finished, and I do believe some people just don't like Gametechmods or don't want to swap forums. You certainly know, when a community moves to an old forum to another, some do not. Goose's idea of redirecting there wasn't that bad, perhaps. Or perhaps doing some more GTMs ads on the official forum... 24880

I dont see the point of putting 3WD on Tiny Tim.
"Three-wheel-bot: You're on crack ;p" Nothing, just an old quote... I did a LW that is close to this Blood Moon (a wedge sawbot). But with a minion disc on a TWM3 and two hypnodisc wheels on drive TWM3R's. 1 battlepack and two ant batts. Ok for your Blood Moon: -This bot is WAY overpowered. It doesn't even needs a battlepack to work, like it is. (it needs a little less than 20 amps) -Too much empty space. - Ill suggest using bigger wheels and placing the astroflights at the end of your bot, to get traction if your bot is on it's rear end. -Im not sure about the efficiency of the weapon. |
