This one broke the record of posting.
Transparent skins are possible, but making the chassis transparent... not to mention that all things attached to the chassis are invisible even if you smash a way to them by chassis crushing.
Animated skins will lag the game seriously, if you even can do some. Moving an animated GIF in 3-D, or no, more than one, six at least, will use a bunch of calculus and memory. And worse, moving a DISTORTED GIF in 3D (after some chassis damage)...

Hey Paprika, stop with the multi-posts.
Doing really accurate replicas for DSL is pretty hard because you need to create a bunch of new components.

Well he definitely wants to be a teacher at all costs.

Hey, CB, as DSL 2.1 has issues being installed in my Mac, can i send you a DSL 2.0 bot? I will normally only use drive Magmotors and a Perm 80.

Pretty nice putting 4 betas into your bot... but he doesn't look as efficient as it could.

Nice triple post.
Mortis, Diesector and Warhead could be cool.
But Diesector has a clamp weapon system that won't work well in RA2... or it could be done as Razer's one?

Where the do you see hostility/rivalry between me and Sage? Thanks a lot Sage. I'll have a try.

Venko, it is "Give a man a fish, you'll feed him once. Learn a man to fish, you'll feed him for all this life". But I do love that expression.
You have some good points there.
-As Venko said, build to the maximum weight and don't use ballasts.
-Same, use a ramplate or a snowplow (but the snowplow will be trickier to position correctly without interfering with the bot's driving) rather than these wheel guards.
-Change the drive to HP Z-teks and put rubber wheels on. You'll have nearly no ground clearance, very good for the wedge. You'll have to make the frontal wedge steeper to put Z-Teks.
-Theorically, using some extender work, you could use dual razor tip/iron spike spinner head, using the side attachment points of two 20cm extenders with each head (that makes 6 20cm extenders, 3 razors and. There are some examples of this on the forum. This will add 99kg on your bot, if i counted well.
-You can reduce slightly the width of you bot, because your spinner Z-Teks could be closer to each other and same for the drive Z-teks .
-You could add some batts if you use 5 HP Zteks, its too much for a single black batt.
It will be tricky to add all this, but i still do think it can be done.

I will give a try. Still need to try a god damn bunch of bots because IDK if that Neglected Waterbug replica is gonna work.

How the can that thing be so heavy? I thought it was a MW! What armor did you used? And for the wheel guards, I would put something wider like a 40x40 DSL bar (or perhaps 30X30), or a 10cm disc with a typhoon spike on it.

yeah. and two emergency wedges upside down instead of 4 small wedges.
but despite his boring name, Chopper must be the most accurate replica in all this showcase. good job.

You have to apply the patch (1.2 or 1.3) if it isn't done.
Oh, and famouus quote: you have to follow E-X-A-C-T-E-L-Y the install tutorial. DSL is often a PitA to install but it's really worth the time.

Yeah. In one word, backstabbing. Well that's the most effective tactic against him.
There aren't gonna be a lot of contestants this time... or so it seems.

DSL. There are plenty of real bots replicas in there.

And train for a while in the basic RA2 (yeah sage i DO know). when you'll be able to beat easily all basic AI, put to DSL. but i strongly advise to go DSL. it is awesome.

Nice one! I thought that was way harder. simple and efficient.
I still dont understand even one bit of snapper loading.
EDIT: but it has a hard time turning, no?

Great R0B0SH4RK. You puzzled Sage on a HS. lol.
That snapper must be at baseplate level... the controal board stacked somewhere...damn its tricky indeed. I can see how the z-tek is mounted (again excess of snapper loading) and perhaps the plow then, but these right angles... there's certainly not a tri-extender involved... damn.
