I'm guessing there's 2 sets of blades on the sides for extra extender protection, am i right? (nice idea if that's what it's for)
Edit: i see they're facing the other way now.. the snappers are on them.

try one long skirt on a skirt hinge thingy, then angle it down and test it.. if it doesn't get under bots then angle it down more.. keep repeating.

@ hydro: smart zones are a component you place in a certain spot and when your opponent enters that zone the weapon fires. can't explain it any better.
@ everyone: mine is pretty slow to start but if it gets up to full speed look out, i also gave it bottom protection to annoy pop-ups and VS's and it's invertible.

ok, now i'm more confused. different parties are saying opposite things.
your a lost cause :P we both said it's a robot that was made in the game by someone and entered into BBEANS 3, it's not a real life robot. back on topic RR and myself thought up the same design(i got the idea from one of barbie's DSL bots).. wonder who's will go better :)

ah, a perfect opportunity to ask my burning question: What is a Smart Zone and what does it do? it's used to AI bots such as pop-ups and hammers. anything that needs to attack the opponent in a certain direction.

I also changed the AI of little cube so now he will be "curious" toward other bots so the SnS's will have a chance to send it packing :-D just to make things a little more entertaining
i wonder who's robot that could be... If little cube was designed to run away that would be pretty boring against that SnS but in the end probably wouldn't hurt it's chances (or lack of) in the tourney.

ok I'm done being aggro for now, another tip robo forgot about.. try to keep your images small, take a look at other showcase (such as mine) and you will see people use one splash pic that displays the bot, weight and most of the time name and then explain what the bot does. you can make a splash just by copying, resizing and pasting in paint.
btw the bot does show potential.

DSL, it takes time to get use to as i found out but the components are much more balanced and there's a lot more components. the robots are also more realistic which is great cause i was getting tired of seeing stacked hs's all the time.

I'm gonna do a rematch for the lw hazmat reier vid, but is it ok if i don't film it? if i remember right, it was a very boring match.
it would be a lot quicker you should record it, it's just something you will have to cope with when you host tourneys.

Overall the matches were good but only one truly suprised me (congrats to R1885). I have a bad feeling, unfournately, that the 2nd quarter's matches won't be quite as exciting. at least my bot will bot on a show :D

my AW drill is a lot better now, stronger external armor and a more powerful weapon motor:  beat all other 3 DSL aws i have on the game (micro scorpion, nanowhirl and terminus) in AI vs AI matches.
