Yeah I know what you mean, I much prefer to build realistic robots, I can't help it, when I design a robot (been designing for a week or so now) I think like I was making a robot for Robot Wars almost instinctively.
That's exactly the big thing at the moment- IRL building, so definitely a good time to join

Can you make Robot arena 1 components?
I wouldn't bump like that in the future.
If it's actually relevant, I don't think it matters so much. In this case, it is, I'd say. As for the question, theoratically yes to some, but it'd be tricky. Others, like the Sawblades on arms and Harpoons would be next-to-impossible, though.

You have a point there, but i'm pretty sure the reasons for the US attacking the Third Reich was long-term self-preservation, AND also that the Germans (i think) sunk a cargo ship aimed for the UK, because it was holding weapons...
...oh no wait that was WW1. Did the Americans attacked Germany because it was allied with Imperial Japan and Japan had the first strike or what ?
In the case of the former point, that was the RMS Lusitania- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_LusitaniaA passenger ship that was torpedoed off the coast of Ireland by a German Submarine, killing 1,198 people. In the latter case, I'm not certain of all the reasons, but Pearl Harbour (Which was deliberately bombed by the Japanese Air Force in 1941, whilst the US was neutral) was definitely a catalyst for the US joining the war.

True story. Sometimes it's -30 here and I'm not complaining.
For me at least, it isn't so much complaining as it is exclamation of surprise- temperatures that low don't come around here often. Once that's out of the way though, I go off to have a snowball fight and build a snowman with a fez on it
