Sys32 you're just plain dumb.

CHEAT PARTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN TOURNAMENTS.

And these wheels are cheatbot2, by the way.

The stock red extenders too on Facemelikeaman are cheat parts for the DSL mod.

But then it doesn't surprises me if you have all the DSL components on stock.

Get the full thing, you'll see that all these are hidden.

No! Just a very small chassis.

But you can made a HW a MW with bot file editing, that said.

Hey guys, I've started AIing. That's long, but fun to see your bot de

I'm beginning by my lightweights.

First, Collision Course, just reskinned and renamed.

Code: [Select]
list.append(("Torch Cutter","Pusher"{'invertible':True,'nose':math.pi,'radius':0.05,'topspeed':99,'throttle':160,'turn':70,'turnspeed':1.5}))

He charges neatly, but after the first blow (that nearly killed Tempus Fugit), and then (being close to the other bot) he drives like a bitch, because rather than pushing the other bot or backing up for a ram, he makes half-turns, leaving it's wheels really vulnerable, and he even pushes the enemy bot with it's REAR.

And same if i put the Rammer .py.

___________

Then, I AIed Black Ram... oh, that's right i didn't showcased it

Code: [Select]
list.append(("BW-Black Ram","Poker",{'invertible':True,'nose':math.pi,'radius':0.1,'topspeed':99,'throttle':160,'range':99,'turn':50,'turnspeed':2.5,'weapons':(1,2)}))

This one is just awesome when AIed. Only flaw, he loses his weapon easily.

I've put Black Ram in Omni too but I don't see any difference.

Hmmm

Something like a chassis that weights 20kg. You could have a look at my antweight VS, the small thing with the chewblade, in my showcase.

Nope. With AAM you could put Absolute Chaos in an antweight chassis. ACAMS did the smallest bot ever with AAM, in DSL, but still it's not for serious fights (or perhaps against Sir Killalot)

Can be made but not acceptable. Editing the bot file is called AAM (Advanced Attachment Method) and considered as cheating.

I like it. I love rammer hybrids, and rammer/piston bots own.

Several tips to make it better:

-That bot's too high, and visibly not invertible, great flaw for a rammer. Reduce the height. Even if you won't be able to put the medium Puma CO2's, I'm sure you can find another better component setup.

-I'm sure you'll be fine with Tornado wheels and normal NPC's- if you reduced the height it'll be invertible, and then you should have enough of a battlepack and an ant batt. And the Tornado wheel / normal NPC-T64 combo is pretty fast and has low ground clearance. And you'll gain weight. But I could be wrong with the power setup.

-Aluminium in the worst armor possible - i mean, if you divide the armor value by the weight for all armor types, you'll see that titanium is the better armor.

-These shell parts look vulnerable to me. And the wedge is less efficient with them.

That's all!

I have an iso too. The game works fine, as the multiplayer option (it still lags to death) and the patch. Just some minor problems.

What if the control board is added to an extender?

That was the smartest thing i've ever seen you post.

_____________

The rules suit me perfectly. I built the first version of my tabletop competitor and it OWNS, threw Grog once OOTA in 5 seconds on the claw top, (and the KotH one too but he's not as good)

Are you going to use the unmodded claw top, Giga?

Too many anglers. Practice extender work, you'll gain weight.

Obviously the "bit of a newbie" failed, because that bot's drive is good for a HW HS, right motors and right wheels, and it is NOT overpowered. It is slightly underpowered, in fact you need two black batts to power 8 HP Z-teks.

Pretty nice for a newcomer, HE. But there are some things to do:

-Empty space, as everyone said. You will have to rebuild your chassis several times and find another more compact setup.

-This high placed spinner looks useless to me. You should perhaps put more maces on your other spinners (use a round extender).

-Get rid of that pink batt. You could perhaps add a nifty, but see first if your bot still has a decent battery charge after 3mins.

-This chassis height is, well, enormous.

Have a look at the RA2 Wiki and the beetlebros.gametechmods.com site, there are great building tutorials right there.

And Andrew's right, you could copy other bots/designs/setups for learning.

R1885 has a point but first you will need how to overlap and practice your building skills.

Ah! Ah! Here's the LW

But it is the first version and it sucks because these hinges wobble SO much.

Giga i know what i'm going to use.

But still have several questions on teh modulable bot:

-Can we change the direction of skirt hinges and the things attached to them, whatever they are? (example, swapping a weapon rack with a plow)

-Can we change wheels on motors attached to the baseplate (i don't think so), or all the drive train if he's attached to extenders/hinges?

I'm thinking of a wedge with Techno Destructo/Magmotor drive, and one or two pistons.

I counted Click, there is exactly the same number of bots with vertical spinning weapons (sawbots, VS, drums) as horizontal spinning weapons (HS and SnS)

And yeah, this is a really offensive tourney.

AAH! I lost because of driving!

That was a pretty damn sweet fight, loved HazCon's jump at first round.

Now, the loser's bracket... (BIG EDIT) Against Phlox ? Hmm. Interesting. Let's see if my wedge is superior.
(would have prefered to fight against SD, but... nevermind)

When I'm having a look at RRG's difficulty to get under Hostility, I'm thinking I have the best wedges.

Or HazCon would again drive like crap and lose again...

BW -Chaos? is crap. You're better with one tri extender on a motor, and weapons on it.

They all look decent, and i don't see how the AW is a VS...

Inf: LOL.

Giga, the Pys AI pack is seriously more difficult that Starcore 3, IMO.

Yeah. Unlike stock, DSL bots are supposed to follow a realistic rule.

Here, the problem is that the wheels can't possibly pass through the spinner shell IRL.

Have a look at the DSL showcases. Most of the bots follow the realistic rule, as the DSL AI you're fighting.
