The fast and wedgy bots are getting beaten... crap.

Deprivator looks like a great popup, only thing i have to critic is the lack of a low wedge and wheels with poor grip.

One sure thing is there's NO WAY the HumDrums can beat Steel Meatball.

How about trying first?

All the good HW horizontal spinners here -including AC that you wanted to copy- use 2WD Z-tek or HP Z-tek, and generally two black batts (but yours need two blacks and a nifty).

Just have a look at the other showcases.

4WD RAD drive = fail. Especially on a HW. And all these small batts are useless.

Get 2WD HP Z-tek drive. Lighter and way more powerful.

I think the turtle shell plates do damage.

Wouldn't you transform this thread in one where everybody could post their bots?

I have a poker/wedge hybrid for the tabletop. It owns, but half of the time throws itself OOTA when AIed.

At first, i'v tried to build a good tabletop Bot, then, adapt and test it on the king of the hill.

It appears that there's a good part of luck in winning a table top.

Did the same thing, and agree 100%.

So basically, we can still kind of compete in the usual way by putting a splash in our showcases and hope people will vote for it? :icon_twisted:

Or it must be a bot already showcased?

This weapon is too high. And you don't need a drive that fast on a HS, but if you're employing evasive tactics( i.e. getting at you opponent's sides) it's fine.

For knowing how to snapper load, you suck at using it efficiently..

I thought EXACTLY the same thing (even if i'm too lazy to get snapper loading to work).

Go and have a look at Scrap Daddy's Doomed LumberJack... you haven't got enough weapons on this thing, you can use just two blue snappers for all that drive and 6WD is enough for a rammer IMO.

EDIT: LOL at Nightstalker III weighting EXACTLY 666 kgs. :icon_twisted:

One of the few über-stacked HW HS that do look really cool. The color setup is neat.

And I suppose the tabletop is a 4-rumble too?

Awesome.I'll get RAPED in the KotH and possibly in the tabletop, because even if you enter a good tabletop bot the winner is nearly random.

(i'll still give it a try though)

You have about 40% empty space. I bet you can get it under 20% by rebuilding the chassis.

These wedges aren't really efficient.

Otherwise, looks good.

Love the mouse, the tree mauling a dog and the HYDRO one, otherwise the other ones are average.

AAARGH the LumaZone !1!1!one!

I'm gonna suck hard in the KotH then...

...Wait Giga, the KotH battles are just a duel, or a 4-bot-rumble?

I've AIed my tabletop bot, but the dumbass doesn't cares about the tabletop. He throws and pushesbots OOTA so efficiently that he gets OOTA first! Too fast. I thnk I'm gonna reduce his drive train and bolster his pokers.

I've never seen wedges that efficient on a first bot.

-Don't use aluminium armor, this metal sucks. Best is Titanium.
-You can manage to get a smaller chassis.
-This drive train is WAY too slow for a MW flipper. And you have big ground clearance for a flipper.
-You could get more efficient weapons.

Otherwise, nice for your first bot...

...Wait this is a SlashBack near-clone !

Get SlashBack into your bot lab and study the design. Just like me when I designed Hazardous Contraption.

EDIT: LOL, three posts when I was typing that one!

Blah has
(a) 2 huge sledges (on one end)
(b) that hit simultaneiously
(c) and are mounted far from the motor's axis (i.e. high speed).

I've been studying Mechanics and Kinematics too, Mad. I know about that. And RA2 theory too.

I was wondering how could BLAH one-hit rip that disk protected by several quickly spinning hammers.

_____________

And Blah WILL get owned by the first fast bot he'll fight. He may have insane destructive power, but no defenses and spins up slowly.

Oh yeah.

Clickbeetle: Many night have been taken up trying to find a way to attack a full sheet sucessfully. The issue is that when a full sheet is attached, it is too low to the ground, and I have been unsucessful in attaching it another way.

Use a skirt hinge to attach the titanium sheet, find the best attachment point for that. Perhaps the AP in the center of the sheet could be suited.
