That's probably not a requirement like learning glitches in stock. That being said it will make swapping extender/armor colors and materials easy.
As for the robot, that looks good, better than mine. If you can AI it I'd like to see it against some other HW spinners. It's also good for a newbie. You're not an alt account of anybody I know, correct? I'm guessing ra2cf was used for stacking (since that's a suspiciously tight chassis) and for eFFeing because I think I'm the only person who still does that in any context.

"Digitiser" is a swell name, I'd also use rads if you can do fit them well. If nothing else, Digitiser is as aesthetic as ****...
Especially in how you built those extenders for the wedge. Maybe not the most weight efficient, but why not if you have some spare in the bank.
But they actually are more efficient. They're 5kg beta-extenders enabled in stock V1.4
