A capacitor stores electric charge. It usually has one or more pairs of conductors, separated by an insulator.
Nice googling skills

You might be better off using the bigger batts since you're using 3 Betas and stuff.
^ Did the calculations quickly and if I'm not being dumb, you need 65 ants for full power which equals 422.5kg. You need around 11 PC562s for full power which equals 330kg. Obviously you can't put that many in the chassis but if you use both batteries you'll save a decent amount of weight. Props on taking the time to put that many batteries in though...

I would use techno wheels for the first one since they have more grip. Also, as I've said before, use the blue speed controller because it's lighter. I would use vlad wheels on Dallas if they're big enough since they're lighter. You're using weapon motors for drive on Midland Monster, which is something you should never do- NPC Fasts will perform much better. You should replace the wheels with technos as well.

1- Never use piglets for drive, they're made for weapons. Ant batteries are the best batteries, four of those would do fine. Vlad wheels for the back would be better since they have better grip. Wide antweight wheels have higher grip than the small ones. Could use more weapons on the front, make a pretty little array yo. The chassis is pretty big but it's IRL so it's up to you if you want to make it shorter. Use multi extenders instead of baseplate anchors because they're lighter and smaller. 2- Pretty much the same advice as 1, don't use piglets, use vlads, four antweight batteries, more weapons, use multi extenders. Also the blue control board is best because it's lighter. Your bot is 8 kilos above lightweight too but it still says lightweight which is real weird.

WHY THE **** DIDNT FLAMING MEMORIAL USE IT'S SNAPPERS?!
I don't think that would've helped your chances dude...

That support thing isn't necessary on the bot since you're building DSL-Standard. Also slipperbottom wheels are pretty bad, vlad wheels would be the best to use here.

I think the rules are pretty good as they are. Definitely interested- already started prototyping some bots. Also want to through out there that your ironforge entry is way overweight. It's ironforge, so weight limits are halved :P
It has ballasts.
That was really dumb of me, didn't even consider that, sorry dude.

red stop giving advice please
I say "perhaps" or "I think" because they are suggestions that, in my mind, could work. Its not like I'm some sort of RA2 genius or anything. I am giving suggestions based on my understanding of the game, if they are bad, then they are bad, don't use 'em.
Or you could leave the advice for people who have played Ironforge longer than a month and work on your own skills so you can give decent advice one day.

Boby, had no idea you were one of the Rattler guys. How has it been post-Portsmouth after it gave the pits that magic smoke smell? :P
I don't even remember the fight you're referencing dude, it gets put in the pit a lot :P The only recent fight I actually remember was the one where Kan-Opener got a hold of the ram and ripped it off the base of the robot. Which is why we haven't been at any events recently, the bots in bits and we're too lazy to fix it right now, should start on it again soon though. On the plus side, the new ram is a lot more powerful than the older one so there should hopefully be a big improvement in the bot.

I hope and prey that Rattler will be in the expansion.

And Razer. Rattler was a good one I never thought of that one.
Well, this is flattering. It's currently sitting in my garage in about 50 pieces (in the process of replacing the ram). I was going to get in contact with HB once it's all back together so I can get him pictures for skinning if he's willing to make it.

I'll be mighty impressed if your PC can handle four gigaheavyweights smoothly dude. I'll be impressed if RA2 can handle it as well, for that matter. You may be better of going with a lighter weightclass or doing 1v1s.

It's... unique. I'd worry about fragile those supports for the tracks are though. Could get rid of that plow on the bottom and give yourself a weaker armour so you can protect them more. Also the tribars going through the extenders breaks standard realism but I'm not sure how you could prevent that given the design.

That chassis is huge, you could shrink that down a whole lot to save weight- when you do that the srimech shouldn't be necessary since you can make it invertible. The motors are very exposed too and if you're going for standard realism those arms going right through the batteries and such wouldn't be allowed in a tournament .

As for parts hoiw about weapon and drive motors with changable speeds and is it possible to have panels you can paint.
Remember there's a limit to what can be done within RA2. Neither of those things are possible. A bigger variety of motors might be cool so you can build a 4/6 wheel drive robot without it belting across the arena at a million miles an hour. A selection of panels with different colours or textures could be cool too.

It depends on the host, you should ask them. Most allow it though.

It's meant for beginners who want to make something simple and IRL that can be competitive with the replicas and the fights can be scored fairly despite weapons or parts falling off, like real life modern combat.
I'm not sure beginners are going to be able to do that if there's confusion about which motors to use. They're not going to know that they should only be using the motors that were made for the mod, not the ones from the DSL3 beta that are in there.
