We both know damn well that Trovaner is going to let Naryar off with a small lecture as he usually does.

Posting since it was referenced in the skype chat...
helloface pretty much did what i did which was get fed up with how the place is being run. andy can go about making inflammatory comments and generally stirring up mayhem wherever without incident, he gets a 2 week mute for a slightly (it was a finger through a CD ffs) sexual avatar whose main purpose was to draw attention to the fact that snowing steak has been running an oversized avatar for forever now. so he decided to try and get banned for good to have a reason to stay away.

also if it werent for naryar's complete incompetence none of this would have happened because craaig would be able to mute people (and keep them muted) while also actually being able to moderate the place because that's what a moderator is supposed to do right?

this is probably slightly incoherent because its 3 am and i'm sick so take of it what you will

peace
Pretty much this, and the site has become a hotbed of negativity and being banned made me realize that this site really doesn't do much good for me unfortunately. It was kinda turning me into a cynical asshole which isn't surprising considering how that's how quite a few people on the site are. The shoddy and inconsistent leniencies done by some of the staff and refusal to cut dead weight generally brings the website down to a point where the quality of the site will continue to go down unless something large is done. I highly doubt me and Badnik will be the only ones to "leave" in the near future unless again, something is changed to motivate people into returning to the intended focus of the website.

I'd ask Kurt if he has any plans to do any more Scrapheap Challenge tournaments and go from there.

I'd probably be interested though.

Also people send in your stuff for Pot Luck 2. Please.
I, as usual, am waiting until the very last moment to send in my entry in case I think of anything better.

I have to say lads, it's been a brilliant journey getting to know the gametechmods community again after a decade and finally delivering something for you all to have and enjoy.

To think Wham started this back in 2013, having no idea what it would turn into when everything was passed down to me in 2014 to join my work at the time. We joined the Official Robot Wars brand, that changed a lot for us, in quite a few ways it meant we couldn't do what we wanted to do... But in another it opened things up a hell of a lot more, getting roboteers from across the globe contributing.  2015 was a slow start but with new methods learned and new techniques developed, we managed to bring more to the mod than previously. Now we're almost there and despite a few niggles here and there and wishing we had more time before the deadline... (That's right, the release date was planned for quite a while haha) but we've made it to the end of what is only the beginning.

Don't forget we are releasing expansions and updates for this over time so head over to Facebook and like our page, all the future releases will be coming from there! And be sure to spread the word. ;)

All the best,
Adam
Thanks a lot for all the hard work you and the staff put in for us.

You might want to change the link in your sig if it'll be coming from facebook  :dumb)

both look great, but that second one needs a skin.
I intentionally had the skin look that way. It's a reference to the first stock bot I ever showcased.
Nobody else knows the reference though and it looks sloppy. The skin, that is. The drum looks really solid and clean especially.

Why can't everyone rep once a day, it's not like people take rep seriously anyways.

Here's what I wanna know:

Better question is:

You're kidding me right? They were ICONIC in the original robot wars.

Sure, they've got Matilda, but what about Psycho and Sir Killalot? Imagine them taking on the modern day flippers!

Besides, I'm pretty sure their return would attract a larger audience.
Yes, because people go to these competitions to look at over engineered, obsolete window dressing beat up on a disabled bot, and not the uber flippers literally launching each other end over end, several feet in the air.
Yeah, well, I guess we all got our preferences.

You like seeing robots fly all over the arena, and I can agree with that.

I just want to see a little bit of carnage...
Keep in mind that most of these bots cost thousands of dollars and months of effort to construct.

well, i would avoid it, but 3ds max costs what, 5 grand?

well there's your problem.

as for the bot, i like it. although, if it's a popup, shouldn't it use razors? the spike strips go with the alligator theme well.
No, this is an IRL style robot and technically not a popup either since the damaging edge is faced the wrong way.
