The problem is that animatronics don't impress people like they used to. The house robots were engineering wonders that look amazing when you see them live, but they're nothing compared to what CGI can give us.
CGI can go to  . That's one modern invention that helped ruin a lot of creativity and ingenuity in the modern film industry, among other things.

If I get good at making components I will make a total conversion mod of DSL. This might help a bit. You do realise however that when a new robot fighting programme comes around interest will come back again. Also DSL needs to be readily available to download on here as you can't get the game hardly anywhere.
There needs to be readily available links for just about everything on this site. It's so ridiculously hard to find some of the tools, special thanks to ACAMS' 10/10 organizational skills.
Tell me, why is it there is a downloads toolbar on the main page, and a downloads page linked at the top of the page that is completely separate (and useless)?

There should be a ready to go DSL link somewhere on here. Just find that, open the .rar file and extract the folder to your desktop or someplace else. I thought this might happen someday - humanised robots instead of 'normal' robots. Thing is human style locomotions probably the most inefficient there is. You don't see too many two-legged tanks out there. Killing-est bad ass weapons are what its all about. Also you will not get many ordinary people being able to build robots like this so I don't really see the point. Hopefully if it generates some interest we might get Battlebots back on TV - the show was c-rap but the robots and battles were epic.
The best part is that I can tell you right off the bat that these robots aren't even going to actually "walk." They're supported by massive steel rods, I can guarantee you the rod is going to be providing all the mobility while the robots shuffle their legs back and forth. The world and the tech just aren't ready for fighting bipedal robots on a large scale.

Seriously, it's got sawblades for wheels? Something tells me in my gut, it's similar to Ginsu from Battlebots.
As well as Demolition Man from Series 6 of Robot Wars (then again, Demolition Man is just an evo of Saw Point, so... yeah).
As far as sawblade wheeled robots I can think of, there's Demolition Man, Ginsu, Saw Point, some unnamed thing that dropped out from RW 1994, Happy Fun Bot from RW 1996, and I'm sure there are a few others.

In all honesty, when compared to how I was acting for the most of the time since Naryar let me back in the majority of my activity has been spam threads in the playground and smart ass remarks in the GCT with a bot posted here in there. In fact, I'd say I've toned down on it these past two weeks or so in comparison to a few months ago.
i meant most/all of your posts have some sort of joke/whatever as and noodle have come up with for this week. what's worse is there are about 4 of you doing it and it's just annoying more than anything now. to me it's just you trying to be funny now and its not really working. it used to be alright when you didnt follow the crowd of cool kids, trying to fit in after being here for ages already

As far as I remember I have ALWAYS sided with him, for the most part at least. The only difference now that Noodle is unbanned is that there is someone else who more or less agrees with most of my opinions/statements.
i was completely fine when it was you and noodle but you have about 3 other people doing it aswell now and it just makes me think that all of you are trying to fit in or act cool around people you dont even know. and i dont really remember you repeating all these jokes noodle, etc have said during those 3 years until recently
I dunno man, most of these jokes (Dog.jpg, Prank:, etc) actually originate as inside jokes between Noodle and I while we're hanging out on Skype or on steam or some sh**. So I'm really not trying to emulate anyone, we just naturally carry our sense of humor over to the forums and communities we go on (well this one, at least.)

Pretty sure the only thing that works is an outdated copy of 3DSMax. It is also recommended you use a more advanced text editor (such as Notepad++) when it comes to the programming aspect of component making.
