Cuda => Moderators.

Dex: Agreed, but "new person = n00b" can offend. Newcomers aren't all n00bs. I suggest putting "n00b" only for real n00bs. Perhaps like Hydro. He has already n00b into it's avatar...

Also, i agree with the custom title idea.

Isn't the solution simply stripping off the Combat Arena of everything, and just making it a 12-vertice-cube with a single texture for the walls?

I've AIed it. It's VERY powerful, but has major issues being flanked and has a slower turn speed than expected.

Double post !?

I'm not at the best of my building skill when dealing with LW's but still...

Match Box. Inspired by Reier's Tim and RED ALERT.

Not exceptionally fast, but damn powerful. 3mm titanium and this is a medium air tank.

Possible GUMBA entry. I think I can get a few wins because of the powerful weapon.

Yeah, i know it must have plastic, so i'm gonna revise it.

I've come with a pretty much simple idea.

Keeping track of every builder's "scores" in ALL tournaments.

It should keep track of : total number of KO's/TKO's/WBP's your robots got in tournaments, but also total number of losses, as well as total number of matches won/lost.

If we begin with RAW, for me, it would be: 4 KO's, 1 TKO's, 0 WBP's, 4 losses, 2 matches won, 1 match lost.

Comments and criticism welcome.

I agree on this, but IMO it's too simple to be the only rule.

I was using the "welding" principe too, that is any static part can intersect with another static part if there is a means of attaching/welding/binding the two?

Do you see a problem with my first post?

Does this underpowering means that the following rule applies to DSL too ?

If you are only using spin motors, however (no burst motors), you can easily get by with output being only half of input.

Yes, with that "common sense around the builders" problem, we need a RULE that will define once and for all DSL realism.

Else, we'll keep fighting about "this is not realistic" vs. "no it could be done that way IRL so it is realistic" and possibly start flame wars about that.

And yes Dex, we need a whole thread about that, for clearing up things on realism.

Click is OK with it. Now Inf, why do you think it's not realistic?

I bet both of these bots would get owned if AIed.

I only AIed all my ELBITE bots and InfCon. Also my Psycho Sweeper rebuild.

Underpowered. Turns too fast. Mediocre wedges. Unstable.

I still kicked the stock Grog's ass with that, but that's exclusively because hammers like that pwn shell spinners.

That was mainly for using multiple battle axes.

Awesome. 4 3-0 matches.

Thor vs Lu-Tze was the ultimate ninja fight (yes it was accelerated but still great), FarCry got raped (I knew Classy had a chance, but not that much of a chance),  and SR got owned too (as i thought).

R0B0 well... not very interesting, but still, 3-0.

More, two of these fights show that fast'n'wedgy bots are superior to slow HS.

Now... Inf...

Ah Click you just confused me.

Oh, okay, so

"Weapons can only intersect partially moving components"

______________

R0B0: common sense is different depending of people, we need a rule for everyone.

______________

Inf: So what is DSL realism IYO? No more popups?

(Yes Click I know that you wanted to avoid popups in DSL)
