How about just a random song from my itunes? As long as it's sorta rockin?

I like that idea a lot. As much as I like Green Day... I am pretty sure the rest of your music will be fun to listen to.

Haha guys I had another fail. When recording the next round of matches, I muted my computer's speakers, cause I was tired of the in-game music. After recording about half of them, I played one and realized FRAPS had picked up my windows media player as well, which was playing Green Day's new album. So unfortunately, you have to either mute the video or listen to Green Day while watching it... O.o

Next round should be up soon.

As a Longtime Greenday fan... I will not shed a tear over this blunder.

Masher 2010: Decent enough... now why these heavy wheels and snowplow ?

Those were the only wheels that made it invertible. And the plow makes it a gutripper, which it was intended to be.

PLUS: I'M NOT ON THE BRACKETS!!! NOOOO! And where are the videos?

Please go back a page and read Joe's description... or he will kill you.

I think the argument is that if he went with a circular chassis... the overall material usage to construct the chassis would result in a lower weight and thus he could use a higher armor class with that saved weight.  But, by your estimates... it would break even anyways.  I guess if you (not specifically YOU, but in general) wanted to be really picky and technical then the overall HP would have to be compared between the two theories.  That would be hard to figure out.

Your fear of chassis space has resulted in a bot with wasted weight.

Use a circluar one and it'll be more effective.

... because the total circumference of used metal is bigger if you stretch out the current chassis versus a circular.  Because the weight is based on the material, not the volume of possible content.

System you are pretty smart... you really should change your AV back to that Futurama character... he looked a lot smarter that that dude staring at the camera that looks doped out. :P

Temi: Do slow motors with fast motors really pose any benefit to a bot at all with drive?

Yes, However, it's only a slight advantage.

Really? How so? does the unrealistic physics engine make it so that the slow motors actually give it a little extra power rather than (like real life) slow the bot down with the added friction. I always avoided such a setup thinking it was of no benefit whatsoever. hmmm.

you can't tell, but that's as low as the chasis wil go, I swear

and tell me, what could I have done with the extra weight?

Well you could ditch the plow and mount it on a baseplate anchor w/extender setup. put a second motor/tribar/weapon on the snapper and have two tribars spinning for more damage. Like craaaaaig said. get rid of those angle connectors, you can change the angle of the extenders without having those.  Stagfish's bot (in his showcase) is a good example of what you should turn your bot into with a little work.

I will join.

You have to promise me though that the three builders prior to Naryar are all horrible noobs so that I can hear him scream in terror when the bot reaches him for adjustments.

So, is anyone gonna say what's bad with my design instead of saying 'WTF' or 'lol'? XD it's hardly very helpful :P

The picture makes it look like it does not even have wheels... I know better though. ;D

The Full report:

123STW: Unique... I mourn the lost opportunity to paint that cube yellow with a smiley face of some sort... I suppose 123 is just too serious to think like that. Cant wait to see it in action.
90901: Tried and tested VS... nothing too special.
Ashman12: once the irons are gone (and there is only four) it is a sitting duck.
Avalanche: I wonder what is hiding in the box?
Badnik96: I like the design, it looks cool... I don't think it will be very effective though.
Clickbeetle: Why do I have a funny feeling that this thing uses a very special AI that will make our jaws drop. (you read it here first)
Condor33: Spiffy. because it has a fast drive I think it will do some damage... should have put a brace behind the saws to keep bots from going over though...
Craaig: Looks can be deceiving... I think this beast actually is meaner than we think.
Doomkiller: Nice popup! makes me wish that firestorm flippers were paintable like a chassis though.
GK: Tires: "Noooes dont eat me!"  All other bots: "Om nom nom nom!"
Hazm47: Sporty. I have a funny feeling this thing will launch itself Out of the Arena right off the bat by slicing under bots and not stopping when the walls drop.
JD: Anti-Death-from-above!
JoeBlo: If you squint... it looks like Megatron. I am hecka curious what this thing does.
Jonzu95: Nice bot! An excellent effort. I think it will actually do well depending on the weapon motor.
LdL: When the sawblades go... the DSL bars will do damage. I think this thing will be a PITA.
Linck: I like it! Getting to that cube without a wedge will be tough.
LLB: Y'know... I always liked the color green on those ant wheels... thats about all I can say.
MikeNCR: Looks like a beast... and one of the few bots that could pull off looking cool IRL.
Naryar: I am learning a few things looking at this design. Should do well!
The Ounce: Traditional gut ripping fun! nice balance to the design.
Pwn: This bot scares me... mainly because Pwn took into account that stablity is all important with an arena that does not have walls (sometimes).  This is my pick to win the whole damn thing.
Redline: This will be a very strong contender too. It will throw bots off kilter and feast on them.
Reier: I am disappointed with you... you had an opportunity to skin your bot to look like a lego and you passed it up. To the corner with you.
Ribbs: Nice design. Should be stable and capable.
Roboshark: If this wedge becomse superior... 123STW will be buying the Canadian some Molson Ice. Very unique design too!
Russian Roulette: In theory... a rammer/pusher would boot some bots out as the walls come down... However is it too fast to stop itself from going out?
System32: hmmmmm *thinks* hmmmmm... anti wedge eh? I hope it works.
Sage: Is that a castor on the bottom of that thing: Man this thing is wide... pretty risky if you ask me.
Scrap Daddy: Evil little beast! Should be able to chew up some of these bots really good! Semi-finalist for sure.
Somebody: All that within the weight limit? Gads! that is clever.
SM: Cutest bot in the tournament *gives it a biscuit*
SomeStrangeGuy: Best looking bot! Damage factor? I dunnoo... I guess we will see.
stagfish: Whoever gets to face these two in the first round won the clash cubes lottery.
STC: Looks menacing... I doubt it will stay on its wheels for long though.
TeamZOG: Yay! Kegger for us! *grabs the tap* Where do I attach it? You have some learning to do! But you are new... I hope you learn to make better spinners in the future.
Temi: Do slow motors with fast motors really pose any benefit to a bot at all with drive?
Thyrus: Cool looking! I am looking forward to watching this one!
Triton: you were two plows or skirts away from totally pushing bots around. I think this thin design will just graze bots after the first hit.
Trumpetguy: ahhhh! so this is why everyone thinks he is so awesome with building bots. Masterful. Another Semi finalist indeed.
Urjack: Its a flipper! a pretty nasty one too! It's going to piss some people off really bad.
Viper: The final song of Vipers album. I gotta say man, when you leave you leave with a bang. This thing is going to do some damage.

I like the way you think. You show a level of creativity with this bot that shows nice potential.  However... we will pick it apart and haze you.  muahahahah!  (just kidding, sorta... welcome to the forums)

My first tip for you is to try to keep your chassis as small as possible on your bots.  Think of the chassis as the heart of the robot and you need to protect it in order to survive.  If you make a small chassis and build your bot around it using extenders and crafty workmanship the bot will survive better.  Protect your chassis, don't over expose it.  There are exceptions though (like popups) But as a beginners learning experience I would recommend making some horizontal weapon based spinners with a small chassis, in which the spinning weapon protects the bot instead of the chassis taking the hits.

Good to have you here!

I personally despised the "non serious" bots that actually competed in Battlebots.  I think any bot that won against them got a free pass and cheap win. Watching these bots compete was a waste of time really.  I forget the actual names of them... because I don't really care about them that much.
