I higlhy doubt that a weapon with that few hitpoints and that average power can win against 360 Arc Pounder.

Plus you could manage empty space better.

And yes, this would be mauled by any good rammer.

...Stupid n00bs.

No matter how hard we try to help and direct them to the DSL download, they still come with the same question.

Yep. Trinity SnS like that kick ass. I've one hit killed several Starcore heavyweights with my (old as heck) Dark Sun 3.

Two weeks ago, i rebuilt one very close to that (but with 4 anchors and 2 maces rather than 2 axes) but it teleported OOTA every time i fought with it.

You're right.

I would use a crooked wedge like that for lowering the angle between the wedge and the ground, because i think you have the ground clearance for this design with grannies, plus the iron spike for some more defense (copied for Sage's Raze and Daze).

Or you could use a blade on your wedge for even more wedge protection (several builders use that).

_______

Also, i bet you could use a straight wedge (wedge extender attached normally to the Snapper like you did, and not perpendicular) if you used shinies (less weight).

Scrap Daddy made a rammer with shinies and snowplows (see his showcase, Doomed LumberJack) and i think it's invertible. You could make something like his design, but with wedges.

In all cases, remove these angled connectors.

@Wham: I wished it was full... Go for it and send your bots. I'll comment on them and say if they are good enough.

@Hazmat: Sending you a PM.

He's wasting weight? That robot has plenty of leftover weight. A few extra extenders to improve a wedge aren't going to matter in this case.

Nonsense. He should save weight whatever the weight of the robot is. Saved weight = more weight to use = better robot in most cases. Even if it's SLIGHTLY better.

Also, there are better and lighter wedges out there, MM. None of the good stock builders uses 3 angled extenders to improve a wedge.

Discussion / Stupid question that has been nagging me.
« on: January 01, 2009, 02:08:22 PM »
Zero point hits? Yeah, that happens sometimes.

IMO it's because the damage calculus gives real numbers, but the display shows only natural numbers, and the damage is rounded up.

So, extremely low damage (0 to 0.49) are shown as 0.

Just a guess, i could be wrong.

I got a headache and i couldn't sleep because there was a hell of a noise something like 14 hours ago. Didn't even woke up to see the fireworks.

And as i'm writing i hear some of our neighbors talking about the mess kids from our town did with the firecrackers...

Also i said "Happy new year!" 2 seconds before the radio said "savage murder"..

...Happy new year!, my ass.
