Seems like the slot is full, and me and JD isn't included. Oh well maybe next time then.

Since there are one more team slot open, I have talked to Jack Daniel and if everything goes well, we should have a team in sometime this week.

Modifications / Re: NAR AI pack releases !« on: March 17, 2010, 12:51:32 AM »
Two primary groups of people who will resist the changes
1. People who are worry about the legitimacy of the patch. 2. People who disagree with the changes. First group can be convinced once tournament are hosted with NAR AI components. Second group will not be convinced unless things go their way. So, the first step is, identify how many people are in the first group, and how many are in the second. If First Group > Second Group, then pushing forward would be a good strategy. If however Second Group > First Group, you would need to radically rethink what you did, or convert back to just an AI pack. I learned it the hard way that not everyone agrees with my changes, despite how much I believe in them. 2328

I am tempted to say something about the anatomy. But it's a general rule to not redline anything unless the author specifically allow C&C.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Chrome OS« on: March 08, 2010, 09:55:55 PM »Also, you are already saving a lot of your stuff on the net? Email? Forum posts? Photos on Facebook? All Chrome OS does / will do is sync your personal files with some sort of online storage facility, like Apple's MobileMe (ex .mac) or Ubuntu's One.I fail to see how email, forum posts, or photos from facebook are stuff I "don't" want to share. 2332
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Favorite OS and why?« on: March 05, 2010, 09:20:14 PM »
Window XP in classic view. Nothing else will do for now.
Mac feels slow in my experience, and since mac computer comes in model and OS, it's not like I can do much about it. And did I mention I hate overly graphical interface? Linux doesn't support any programs (namely games), plus it's not really any faster than XP. Driver (especially for sounds) can also be a pain to find. 2333
Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Chrome OS« on: March 05, 2010, 09:10:30 PM »
I don't like the sound of this one bit. It sounds insecure, unreliable, and un-customizable. Or at least, I don't think they let me manually modify registry, disable security features, or turn off history logging.
As for speed, fast boot time isn't going to make up for it's slow run time (anything over the internet can't be faster than loading off a hard drive). Plus there will be serious comparability issues with existing programs (like mac and linux). Although my guess is that this isn't meant for a PC, but more for things like phones are other hand-held device. 2334

Frenzy Hammers are pretty bad.
The collision mesh makes it deal a lot less damage than a 330dp non normal weapon should. 2335

Problem is that everyone starts off with pencil nowadays, just because it is the most available. While some eventually go off into other mediums, others not. However, it is important to experiment in art, as the comfort zone offers nothing but dead ends.

My prediction to my match and LRA2
LRA2 will charge at my bot, it will flip my bot out of the arena. However, since the wall opens up, it will also drive out of the arena. Because of my elevated chassis, LAR2 will get the "eliminated" tag before I do. Result: I get the cheap win that I wanted. 2338
Creativity Showcase / Re: Artwork thread« on: March 01, 2010, 04:31:48 PM »I need to get better...maybe I'll take art classes or something because I never have. How does "better" look like to you? Do you want to go 3d (computer graphics)? In color (painting)? Or illustration (drawing)? I think being exposed to painting might be more valuable than an illustration class. Aside from the use of colors, it also deals with tonality and strokes, which are both very important in illustrations. As Joe mention, do check up on the course and the instructor's teaching style before you take it. Also if you do decide to take an painting course, check the medium. Oil paints can get quite expensive, while acrylic is much more affordable. 2339

The wedge was average at the time I build it (when compare with NAR AI 1). Compare that with the small wedge here it will probably be below average. I can only hope for a wedge lock at best here.
