Welcome to the forums :)

for mods/addons i suggest downloading Starcore v.3 AI pack, as far as bots go i suggest either browsing the stock showcases or copying bots from the AI folder into the Robot designs folder once you download the starcore v.3 AI pack and have a look at how some of the robots are built.

Edit: you can download my LW side hammer bot (stock LW) from the bot exchange if you are really keen to see how to stack, it might give you some ideas.

yeah it sucks we don't have many people who know how to mod arenas, I'm trying to learn how to mod them I'm not sure how much i can do by editing the .py file though.

hey guys, with all the new tournaments running I decided that my Robo Zone tournament needs the finals arena to stand out.

500th post so I'm requesting something :P

I have posted the idea before and Mad was going to make it for me but he was busy with tournaments etc. I have stared at the BBEANS arena for hours and still can't figure out if i could somehow mod the combat zone arena to have 2 caged of areas that lower after a certain amount of time or if i would have to do something else also 

here's the basic idea of what i need:



- Combat zone sized arena.
- Caged off areas big enough for the bots inside to not be immobilized.
- Able to View the bots in the cages.
- The cage holding bot number 3 comes down after 30 seconds.
- The cage holding bot number 4 comes down after 1 minute.
- No hazards (except the cages which function like a hazard).
- Robots only go for robots if they are outside the cages.

this would not only make a great tournament arena but would be fun for everyone in exhibition. If anyone watches WWE then you know the basic idea of what I'm after already :)

all that AQ needs is a slight edit to the center of gravity.
I'll be glad to fix Castle guard.

Glad to have you or anyone review Alien Queen towards making her better. She is a great concept and just needs fine tuning to work on a wide range of machines and in a wide range of environments.

As to Castle Guard. He has already been replaced by Trebuchet (aka a tuned and retextured H.A.N.N.A.H)

i think I've been playing the game for about 8 years too :) I'm glad no one has been able to find any of my "noob" bots, I think the first bot i showcased was a.. what i like to call "cage bot" which locks a robot in a part of the robot kind of like a jail :P

I talked to jet-speed on youtube once. Said he would think about coming back. It was a heckuva long time ago though (before BBEANS 5 started).

I have 3 of his bots still if he wants to return, they are the ones he sent me for ARBBC.

It is, sadly i can't face the ice pick down and i haven't been able to get anything else angled up the front.

Both plastic. 1 Has longer reach but takes more time to spin up to top speed.

thanks, sadly the new Wammers i built are too fast and flip over.. ah well here are some new funky versions of my AW's to inspire:



Ice pick protects the extender on bottom 2 and adds a fair bit to the coolness of the bots. all plastic and 2 pinks.

just about to test it :) if it doesn't work i'll go back to 2 pinks and try and get a 10cm blade to run down the front.

we need some AW specialist among us :O i was thinking about about making a small AW/BW/LW AI pack.  I might upload a new video sometime between now and tonight (aus time).

i do take video requests if you want to see specific ones fight. i have more then i have posted but they are more generic like rammers and sit and spinners.

pole spike is there for a little extra damage and some protection, i would like something a bit wider there though. I will try and get the 2 razors on an extender using the one baseplate and that will give me 2 extra kgs to spend on something bigger.
