^^Yep and i'm going to win this one.
______ ON TOPIC: Very well built popup. Hell, you're not far from being one of the best DSL builders here... 22945
Discussion / diesector?« on: March 07, 2009, 02:45:40 AM »
Not that.
There are no Diesector components in DSL so it won't work. Technically, you must first import the different custom components needed for Diesector from the AI BB pack to your DSL Components folder, and then the bot file into the robot designs folder. I think you can do it and get the bot in DSL, but for that you need to know exactly what you're doing. 22946

E&O and Grim Reaper have both Perm 80's and roughly the same weight into their weapons. Grim Reaper's main problem is poor wedges. 22949

Discussion / Preventing Damage to Axe/Hammer Handles« on: March 05, 2009, 02:44:48 PM »Quote from: Flying_Chao;30270 Try making the extenders "curve", as in Sage's hammer bots. They will be damaged less. Exactly what i was thinking... It's not really curved extenders, but a curved hammer arm. Look at Sage's showcase, yeah. 22952

Widowmaker: Way too fast for a HS. It looks good at pinning but a pinning HS like that won't do much damage.
Punisher: It looks cool, but slow as ![]() HR-E: I know it has magmotor drive and a juggler with a drive that slow will fail. There is worse though. Equal & Opposite: Too few weapons for being a powerful VS. Plus, classic wedge and average drive won't help this. BLEVE: It's... original ?? Probably has axle wedges, making this decent and i can't see if it has NPC or Magmotor drive. Magmotor drive will be slow as ![]() Li-ewl Terrier: The only hammer. Upper striped skirt is a good idea, though the burst is really very strong for a 30kg weapon and it lacks front defense. Drive is really fast for a hammer. Able to get a few wins. Arcarsenal: Knowing R0B0's skill and love for popups, this is probably one of the best bots here. Skirmish 3: Has the potential to fare well, with just one really strong HS in the tourney. The Devil's Lime 2: An all around good bot, probably the best popup here, and one of my favs to win this. Only weakness is that these skirts often lift from the ground at high speed. Chizzle: Weak weapons and no wedge make this the weakest VS of all the tourney... although it probably can self-right and this might help. Wegi: It might get a few wins... with the right match ups, the right arena and the right luck. Insignificant damage potential and weak flipper arms won't help this. Epidemic: Depends of the arena, but this is one of the most dangerous opponents here. Zapper 8.5: Another good bot. Not sure about the wedge though. Razor III: Decently built, but these wheels are not grippy. Spawn of Francium: If the wedge is good, then this bot might go far. Titanium Chicken: A nice bot with good drive and the best poker in the tournament. Lack of wedge will be it's downfall.. Lion King: In my experience, horizontal sawbots don't fair well. We'll see if i'm right. 22955
