The most recent bot you posted would be absolutely destroyed by Coal Miner. Exposed extenders like that are Face Spinner food. nom nom nom.
Focus on improving your Horizontal Spinner skills... that is where you seem to be improving the most.

Meh. I'll have a crack at this one. Might do well in a tourney this time...
Go for it Zog. You are certainly improving. Entering more tourneys will only help. :D

Awesome Stag and GF! Show the website to your folks, ask them to take you to the concert. They will have a great time too. Roger is going to be having "all ages" concerts while there so that everybody can enjoy the music.

Aw, crap. I am sorry to hear that. I certainly hope that it does not put anyone out of the job.

Hello members from England and Scotland. I am trying to spread the word of an amazing Band that is crossing the sea to visit you soon! Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. They play incredibly energetic music. If you want to listen to music with an incredibly warm sense of fun. This is your band. There is a 100 percent chance that you will walk out of the concert with a smile on your face. Roger has a spectacular voice and will make you want to get up and dance. They very rarely travel overseas for tours, so this a super rare opportunity to experience one of the most unique bands playing music today. Please go out and see them. Roger and I would be most appreciative. Here are the tour dates and main website (videos and music there too) http://azpeacemakers.com/index.htm?id=17606

Hey Larrain. If you need some simple practice. Stack some pink batteries in a chassis sometime. While pinks are not incredibly useful for anything other than an antweight or something. They are, however, rather easy to stack on top of each other. It is good practice so you can get an understanding of the very very basics of stacking. Once you get the hang of that, plunging into other types of stacking will feel less frustrating and painful.

I keep forgetting to post this idea, but finally I have remembered it WHILE sitting here reading the forum posts.
I wish there was a way to click on a button to "ignore" a topic. My favorite way to navigate this forum is to click on the "Show unread posts since last visit" and start reading through the new stuff and active topics.
Well, some topics I am not interested in and I wish I could just make them go away altogether instead of having to click on "mark all messages as read". I imagine that it would take a lot of coding or something to make that work. So, I was just throwing my thought out there anyways.

I'm pretty sure i've never been prolific on this forum, that was the sis' job, and the best bot I built was unstable as . if they wish to fawn I suggest infinite, luigica and psyc.
You are still considered a legend by some. Enjoy it. How many times do you get to be a legend at something in your life? Stick around as well. The game has evolved much over the years. New tricks, new styles, etc etc. Oh, and not to mention the new "personalities" we have at the forum these days. Heck, some don't even build bots... but everyone is welcome. Enjoy your stay *hands Phlox a beer*

It is really nice to see something incredibly original for a HSer. Amazing work.

I would be interested in joining as well. This could be pretty challenging depending on the rules that you write up.

Maybe people need a nice reminder that this is good practice for the next BBEANS competition.
And we all know we need practice for that.

I think he was saying that he didn't vote for once....
either way, it would probably work :P
Ahhh, then this would be a great opportunity for punctuation lessons. (To help others. Not, you, Reier. You were just being lazy. ) Could it be? "Not voted for... once." Or could it be? "Not voted, for once." hmmmmm Frezal? Input please.

I think you can shrink that chassis some.
Think of the chassis as the heart of your robot. Any damage it takes will bring it closer to death. Exposing your motors and wheels outside the chassis is not sin. If you lose a motor or wheel... your bot will be crippled but as long as the chassis remains undamaged you have a better shot. (there are exceptions of course) I think your bot would fare better in battle if the chassis was smaller.
Think of the black knight from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". You can lob off an arm... a leg... another arm... but the torso (chassis) keeps the bot fighting. Don't worry about protecting components with the chassis. Do the opposite, protect the chassis with the components.
Welcome to the forums. You seem nice and cool. Stick around.

Man G.K. I very much feel your pain. AI work can be so tedious and frustrating. I wish I could help but my AI-ing skills are mediocre. I will offer moral support though!
YOU CAN DO IT MAN!

and I'm not even bad anough to need meds in reall life
This statement perplexes me. Does it mean that you ARE bad enough outside of real life (here) that you need messageboard-ritilin? Damnit... I am feeding the off-topicness. Reier, I like those last two pics that you posted. It is soooo tempting to skin them like a bot. :D
