How would the drive work? If you had to use different wheels, that would screw up the speed, probably.

Not bad, but not brilliant either. I wouldn't have the axles sticking out of the sides like that, but the DSL Bars & Cutting teeth are a good aesthetic touch. If the Spike Strip was on a burst, similar to Vladiator, I think that would complete it, personally. On the subject of IRL, I do put aesthetics as the top priority over combat effectiveness, for the most part. Taur, Cage Of Mirrors, Kaze, Challenger, Golden Fox, all of them look fantastic but can't fight particularly well.

I'm not trying to get them all to rotate in sync. They've got the same background, same buttons, but just different details on the top bit.

Been working on a new sig, plans are for rotation. Same size as the one at the moment, just have to sort out the layout, and decide what's going where.

Gonna get some hoovering done now.

they had to bloody cancel german at our school because there werent enough people aaaaaaaaa

That happened to my girlfriend and French. Only nine people in her year chose it, so she got lumped into Music with a bunch of skiving neds who would rather attack each other with beaters than learn. And the teacher gets annoyed with her for not wanting to do her work instead of the neds. I think she's about 60-something, in fairness.

Does look pretty good, in my view, with the restrictions that you have. If you just had the paintjob without the text, opened it up in something like Paint.NET and added Gaussian Blur, and then Add Noise, that should get you quite a nice spraypaint effect. =)

Cool. I think I only had to choose 5, if you're talking about Highers. Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry and Computing for me.

Also, I am now eating a cinnamon bagel. Screw you all. :gawe:

lolbicycle. Doesn't look too bad, but would look better with some more details, such as saddle, gears, headlamps, etc.

LOL at all the newfags sucking RFS's dick.

Are these newfags guys or girls. This is important.

Well, there's only one "outed" girl thus far. One questionable, and I'm the guy that looks like a girl from behind some distance away after you've had a certain amount of alcohol. So odds are they're guys.

Sorry about that.

My guess would be something to do with the skirt hinge. Still no idea why it didn't happen earlier, though.

Discussion / Re: Why do you NOT participate in BOTM?
« on: February 10, 2012, 02:58:07 AM »
Maybe we should try a PictureOTM one month - like people can enter battleshots and stuff. That'd be pretty cool, and a chance for original bots to show their flare.
This was discussed previously, IIRC. Someone suggested we have a standardised splash, and people had to fill it in with their bot stuff, but nobody liked that idea for some reason. I think it might be too much hassle to get a splash done, and then for everyone to find some way of editing it to suit their bots. We haven't all got Photoshop. But a nice splash is always going to garner a few votes over a poorly made one.

I think they've been randomised, but we don't know what they are. Prevents secret bot planning and so forth.

I'm assuming you can, if you've got everything sorted out with it.

Does look pretty good. Top part reminds me of Tazbot a little fir some reason. Motors also look awesome angled like that. If the spinup's too slow, though, then I'd probably get some lighter hammers, or maybe swap for teeth or beater bars instead.

Nice setup, if a bit fragile, and probably will be unbalanced quite easily. I'd have the wheels perpendicular to the extenders, so that it looks more like a cross than a line, giving more stability should you be tilted. The extenders do look fragile, but I suppose if the opponent can't get to them, that's not too bad. If they are quite fragile, then I'd recommend removing the poly skirts, shortening the arms, and using a tougher material for the extenders.

Discussion / Re: Simple Wheel/Motor Logic
« on: February 09, 2012, 03:54:46 AM »
In terms of speed and weight only, then you are correct. But an NPC and Large Ant Wheel doesn't give invertibility, as a TWMR3 and Mini would. And as Naryar has already said, this doesn't take into account of the HP of the wheels. I will agree that you need a wheel with relative grip for the motor, for instance Astro + Techno will havok to kingdom come, whereas NPC + Techno will be absolutely fine. Puncture III was much, MUCH better with NPC+Minis as opposed to NPCF+Hypnos, because that allowed me to double the amount of weaponry it had. If you're talking purely about speed, then this is a valid system, but there are far more qualities you need to build into robots than speed alone.
