The design is solid, yes, I just wanted to make the point that if your lines were perfectly straight it would look extremely professional and the wedge would ride flat on the ground and be much more reliable

While professional looks nice, the element of surprise is cool too. It is a bit of a sleeper.

I'm sure they saw it and were like "Look at this n00b...", but then it took second place. It's always awesome to prove the skeptics wrong.

Just had one of my favourite QI moments, discussing batteries.

"There's no other word in the English language with b-a-double-t at the beginning."
"Battle?"
"Battle is the other one."
Also 'Battalion' and 'Battenburg'. My favourite 'batt-' combination.

Batter.

We don't need fanfics, they're a waste of time.

"I don't like them, therefore no one else should be allowed to like them." Nobody said that you had to enjoy it, but there is still a lot of members here who do you know, I don't see what's the big deal about dedicating a small part of the forum to it for those who do. Especially because its, for the most part, on topic with the theme of the forum. But I do agree that it should be make a sub forum in the forum games section.

Because the forum was almost taken over by RP fags once already. We saved it and now you propose we give them another chance to take over. That's like telling Al Queda "We know you flew planes into our World Trade Towers, but we're gonna rebuild them without changing any of the security issues that led to it. Feel free to do it again."

Just watched The Hangover 2. Damn that was Awesome! 5 Frickin' Stars! :gawe:

Are you high?

And what did you find wrong with it?

It was not funny, and it had pretty much the same jokes as the first one. The difference is the first one made most of those jokes original, it had a solid story, and some good, memorable characters. The second not only copied most of that movie, but it used the same formula, and picked out many jokes from it. The only problem with the latter is that almost all of the ones it decided to use were not funny and just repetitively scattered throughout both movies. Honestly, I liked the first one, but the second? Well... there's a good reason it almost won the Razzie.

That's why the second one is good too... They didn't **** it up by changing a bunch of sh**. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

My favourite film is still The Green Mile. Anyone else seen it?

Mista Jangles...

Great movie.

*DSL Video Game Characters
emergency tribute bot go
I was thinking more along the lines of a claptrap bot :P

Perhaps something more theme-based like:
*DSL Monsters

if its this then it has to be gigaheavyweight
Or no weight restriction...

GHW is pretty much no limit. It's hard to build to the limit without crashing the game.
I mean, all weight classes allowed not just GHW's.

Oh... Yeah, that's a better plan.

So, what's been happening since about a month ago when I stopped really checking this place?

ACAMS seems to have gone AWOL, Jules returned, and there's some stupid game happening in Playground.

General Support / Re: Windows 7 64-bit problem
« on: October 07, 2012, 10:33:45 AM »
Odd, I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 and it runs fine for me. You'll learn that this game is very unstable, for example, Naryar has just had his game die on him.
I know, I've had many problems with it.

Can we have your laptop's specs?
My old laptop?
Windows Vista Premium
2.1Ghz Dual Core CPU
3GB RAM
500MB GPU
300GB HDD
1280 x 1024 resolution

If you're talking about my new PC (Which is a desktop):
3.6 GHz Quad-Core CPU
12GB RAM
GeForce GTX 454 GPU (1.5GB I think)
2TB HDD
1920 x 1080 resolution

Yet my laptop ran RA2 at 60+fps.
My new PC, which is far stronger, only runs at 30fps, so I know this isn't normal.

I'm going to bet that it is the graphics card. RA2 doesn't seem to like certain nVidia cards, for some reason.

Hey, Jules.

As other's have said, there have been a lot of threads randomly disappear for unknown reasons. It seems your DSL showcase just happens to be one of the casualties.

I still use bastardizations of Mako wedges, by the way. Others seem to have deemed them obsolete.

It can be lightened -you can attach a pair of Piglets to the DSL bars, with a 40cm poly extender and save weight.

The outermost pair is attached to the DSL bars. If you mean on the middle AP, it just wouldn't line up right.

I've done quite a few test matches with various bots and haven't lost a piglet yet. I rather like the configuration.

Amateur rally? Looks like that would be fun to compete in.

I like the way some of them handled that turn around... Looks like who ever designed the course was trolling a bit. :laughing

Can your extender work be lightened more ?

Not really...

And can you use something else than that 4000 HP half-sheet for top protection?

Yeah, I changed a few things. It's 1200 kg now.

Instead of axle wedges, use metal hinges or just put on a halfsheet or casters as underarmor.
Also, get E-Tek drive.

The half sheet is on a metal hinge and it already has a sh**-ton on bottom protection.
