Respond to this :P
Spies are supposed to fight that way, GF93. They would get destroyed if they played by your definition of "properly" fighting.
I know that- too weak to do anything other than resort to cheap tactics. For that, they're definitely my most hated class in the game- there's a reason why I usually teabag or taunt over the corpses in the freezecams, afterward.

Have fun against those snipers you can't really compete with at a range
Most of the time, I tend to watch them from a safe spot to see where they're aiming, and take a different route to ambush them- once you've closed the distance, they're helpless. Even if that's not possible, that's where a Flare Gun comes in handy- set them on fire, and another shot Crits and kills them. scouts who beat you at mid range combat due to greater agility
That's where herding them into corners with the compression blast comes in handy- I try to engage them indoors wherever I can, but even without one, the Shotgun's quite good for keeping them away if they get too close. medics which heal themselves with Bluetsaugers while you lose health rapidly
In these circumstances, I try to move erratically to prevent them from getting too many hits in. Once you've set them on fire and dodged enough of their needles, they're easier to take down than you'd think. Without Blutsaugers, it's easier, granted. spies who Ambassador you at a distance
Feigning retreat whilst working in a Shotgun blast or two works OK here, and keep an eye on the nearby area to see if they try to come back. Once they do, kill 'em. Or better still, keep moving and don't let them get a headshot in, and kill them up close. engineers in general
Depends on the circumstance. If they're on their own or with a LV1/Combat Mini Sentry up close, then they're easy meat. With anything else, it's trickier, so I tend to either try and get a Medic Buddy to help me with an Ubercharge or let my teammates take care of it whilst I focus on something or someone else. However, if the Sentry's placed around a corner or on a low ledge where it can't sense me (but I can hit it with my Flamethrower), I can destroy it quickly, and move in for the kill. heavys filling you with holes before you can reach them
Of course it's going to be suicide approaching a Heavy from the front- that Minigun can shred almost anything in less than a second. However, he'll typically be focussed on what's straight ahead, and he's not that manouverable either. As such, I tend to ambush them (remembering to kill the Medic first) from behind with the Backburner- not even Sandviches can save them from that. Likewise, even if he sees you, you can use the Flare Gun to set him on fire initially from a distance, and wear him down with a steady stream of crits. So either way it's possible, but you've got to be careful. Soldiers who actually know how to play the game (rocket jumping to get out of your visual range before Direct Hitting you, ect.
Usually I leave Soldiers to my teammates unless they're very close, in which case I circle-strafe around and/or airblast their rockets, before using the Flamethrower to kill them. Even if they do focus on me in particular, I try to send their rockets back to counterattack them- even if they don't hit, it buys me time to get away. Even against demomen the Pyro isn't great because if you spend time reflecting shots they'll probably just quickly charge you and kill you very quickly.
Charges are easy enough to stop if you know what you're doing- I airblast them just before they hit and then puff them with the Flamethrower as they fly back to both stop the charge and set them on fire, and then backpedal with the Flamethrower or Shotgun if they've got a sword to continue hurting them whilst staying out of their range. Whatsmore, you've also got the advantage even if they don't use the Charging Targe, as with good airblasting skills, you can nullify all their attacks. Seriously, Pyros are just too ineffecient and case-sensitive to be effective.
Overall, I disagree. Of course they're going to get clobbered if you use them in the Leeroy Jenkins style, but if you know what to do, when, and utilise surprise to your advantage, Pyros can be the most dangerous class in the game- I've seen single ones take down entire groups before.

God, I hate Pyros. Spies are the way to go in that game.
Nein. Spies are the cheapest class in the game- if there's any class I enjoy murdering the most, it's those bloody backstabbing cowards.
Disagreed, it is the art of deception, skill and mental agility. Running up to someone, flamethrower in hand, and getting your face blown off isn't fun.
And cheapness- I wish they'd actually try fighting rather than mincing up to people and one-shotting them, or running away. With regards to the bit on Pyros though, there's far, far more to it than that. There's a good learning curve to using Pyro, but it's a far more rewarding class once you get the hang of certain manouvers, like using the compression blast (Right-click) to send projectiles back to opponents and minesweep Stickybomb traps, circlestrafing to avoid enemy fire and get behind opponents, utilising the art of ambushing to wreak havoc, and whipping out the Axtinguisher to finish almost anyone in a single blow. With a little practise, any Pyro can become an awesome close-to-mid-range assassin. If you like, I'll give you a little tutoring.

The original Mega Man or Mega Man X would be excellent- fits the bill perfectly. Well-known, very popular, a great history with Nintendo, and a wide variety of potential moves.
And hopefully not bloody Zero again, like what happened with Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Don't forget you still have the loser's bracket, GF...
Yeah, I suppose I have that at least. Besides, Madman's entry lacks a wedge, so hopefully I can take it on.

My HS had a perfectly vaild wedge when it ripped you to shreds cheaply hit you from behind by landing on you after you dominated the fight, this on the other hand...

I was sweating bullets there for a second. Thankfully, that weapon didn't get me over.
Typical. Always a cheap horizontal spinner that does me in in these kinds of tournaments. And using hinged skirts as well?
No offence to you Coolrunner, but I sincerely hope you go out in the next round.

This is the group photo of my first 30 replicas: (Image removed from quote.)
It's really cool to see all of the cardboard reps together- and the size difference is rather interesting as well. Some of them, like Major Tom and Drillzilla, are so tiny compared to 13 Black and Thermidor.

I feel special because I'm one of few who hasn't been accused of being someone double-accounting since I've been around.
Welcome to the club, mate

what the did 027 post while I was gone?
If I recall correctly, it was about what would be reasonable to suggest. So don't worry, he wasn't on an anime-bashing tirade.

Bleh, suppose that is the case- I admit defeat. Being beaten via vote at my own game is a bit embarassing, but on the bright side, Second Place isn't too bad, I guess. Well-played and well-fought Nary, and congrats on the win Next time though, I suggest we keep the names hidden until the results are done. That way, it'll be a bit fairer.

i had the Game Boy Advance version.
At it was BEAST.
gold parts olol
I have them all...except for the second Golden Weapon =/
I have that and the drive.
I do have the drive however, but what's the second weapon? I have the Golden Claw, but I don't know what the other one is. I think it's a Flamethrower IIRC, but I need confirmation.

It's Ainsley Harriott- he's a TV chef who has a thing for peppers.
