That's your registry... if you simply deleted your RA2 folder without uninstalling, RA2 is still on the Registry and so, when you try to reinstall the game, the setup program detects the previous installation on the Registry and it will try to uninstall an unexisting game = bug.
I would suggest getting a Registry modification program (like CCleaner) and removing the Robot Arena 2 registry entry manually, then you will be able to reinstall. Don't uninstall your DSL version however...
Then you might keep a backup of a fresh Stock version of RA2 for the future, and it would be good to make that backup a .RAR or .ZIP.

ACAMS did deleted the stock version by Inf.
Crash when you select an opponent ? Most probably your AI folder hs been damaged.
First install another RA2 version into a new folder, apply the patch (we will call this your new fresh version of RA2, and:
-First try to overwrite your old AI folder with the new one you just installed. You simply copy the new AI folder in the new fresh version of the game you just installed, and you paste it in the main folder of your old (not working) version of RA2.
-If it doesn't works, migrate to the new fresh RA2 version you just installed. Copy your Teams and Robot Designs folders from your old RA2 version and paste them in the main folder of your NEW fresh version of RA2. That will basically import all your bots to the new fresh copy of RA2. And do the same for the corresponding folders if you have custom textures, screenshots, etc...

It's actually not too bad...
You can get rid of the nifty (2 blacks are more than enough), rebuild the chassis to reduce empty space, and most importantly reduce chassis height to the minimum and get shiny hubs. You'll be invertible with 24kg less spent on wheels.
I'm also pretty sure a large CO2 tank is better than 2 small ones for less weight so you'd be better with just one 14kg CO2 tank rather than 2 10kg ones.
You will be able to add more irons to your upper weapon then.

What i'm talking about is that to snapper load the HPZ he needs the control board, the snapper and the HPZ.
I really don't see how he fitted the control board on the chassis after the snapper and HPZ being placed... or maybe he turned the motor upside down (axle of the HPZ facing down) and stacked the control board in the HPZ's axle - i'm pretty sure you can do this.

Only thing i am sure of is that Sage will win against JoeBlo and Mike will win against Wham. All the rest is on the wedges... and it's hard to judge wedginess.
Also S32, nothing is bursted in my bot. The drive is attached to the chassis (you guessed it) and the weapon HPZ's are attached to baseplate anchors. SD3 is entirely realistic.
It makes it stabler, and i bet this will enhance my wedginess.

Yeah, you started with just the burst motor, added the HPZ and the control board, snapper loaded it, and while the HPZ was frozen in space you added everything else... however it must have been a pain to build this, seeing that the HPZ always comes back when you put a motor.
but i cant get how did you added BOTH of the HPZ and control board.
