Keep all of 'em! They all look good! If you are going to attach stuff in the "not cool way" still rotate them so they are paralle to the ground instead of perpendicular to it.

Really? I love the thwack.
The one with the spikes in the top reminds me of Max Wedge.

Basicly your robot and Omnivore share the same concept of spinning weapon on a servo to attack the tops of other bots c

The first one looks like Omnivore's slightly stupid and overweight cousin. :P

Is the plastic on the outside or inside of the metal part of the wedge? If you are going to face spinners I'd get rid of the plastic or have it under the metal layer because plastics are almost always softer than metals so spinners get more bite against plastic instead of metal where the will just skitter along it unless it catches an edge or seam.

IRL in the title sounds silly..
Just Roboteer or Builder would be my vote..
Now that I look at both Joe's right. (again :P) The IRL part does sound silly.

I think the criteria should be a active buildersdb profile or whatever you UK guys use for event registration to prove that you are a builder. Or it could be as simple as submitting a picture of a bot with you forum username in the picture to prove it's your bot.
As for names a guess IRL roboteer or IRL builder works and green would be fine as the title color.

Side question:
How big is Annihilation and what's with that funky rear end? I'm just a little curious because I was able to cram two 18v drillmotors and a 2ah nimh battery into a 11x6" chasis.
Also good luck.

I've been thinking about this for a while and might have bugged ACAMS about it before but why isn't there a user group for IRL robot builders?

In THAT case, give me a idea for REMOVING weight!
Tell your bot to lay off the McDonalds. Or shrink your chasis a bit. You could drop two razors. You should be underweight then.

Here's my story,
I was into in battlebots back when it was on TV. I had all the toys: biohazard, diesector, ect. Then battlebots went off the air and I forgot about it. Then summer 2009 I saw something on the Travel Channel. It featured robot combat. I was instantly hooked again. I then did some major googleing and found NERC. I attended FI 2009 and decided I was going to build a robot. To research what makes a good robot I turned to my trusty friend known as YouTube. I watched many videos of robot combat and eventually stumbled apon that video of RA2 that everyone finds. (You know the one with that poker with a bunch of iron spikes and pistons.) I then found the RA2 site and decided to click the forum thingy only to find it led me to here. I didn't join at first but I did download RA2 from a certain bearded members sig. I lurked for about a month and then decided to join here using the name of my robot thinking it would get me some "street cred". Sufice to say it only caused some embarrassing google results when looking for my bot so I then asked Mad to change my user name to SKBT and thats pretty much my GTM story.

It's DSL, so no. Conflicts with the realistic rule.
well, technically, i think chaning is ok, because if you ducktape a motor to a motor, and you spin them in the same direction, the same can happen in real life. i can fix the stacking, but i think chaining is ok. anyone disagree
Have you ever heard of that pesky little thing known as wires?
