I was wondering how could we call the BOTM equivalent of a SFTW.

You can remove 2 ant batts on this and 42 kg of wedges on a LW = overkill.
Otherwise nice. 22126

My turn now !
![]() This is Monstruosity - giant FS. 1193 kg, 3mm titanium, snapper wedges, something like 25 irons, 8 ant batts, 2 25kg orange batts. As powerful as unstable. It easily gets hits over 3000 points and can send Grog flying with a simple touch of the weapons. However the wedges aren't that good and he inverts extremely easily Might fix that stability problem and slow it down... and then i could have something really sweet (original and a killer) to enter into CC2. 22128

Awfully cool...
As well as awfully underpowered. In no way you can fit 351,4 amps in that. 22129

That drive would be slow on a HW rammer...
Also overpowered as ![]() Not bad though. 22130

Yup.
Click did said 1200 kg SHW's were legal in DSL3, and several of the replicas will be more than 1000 kg. On another note i'm going to own all of you guys. 22134
Tournament Archives / ELBITE SuperTournament: Brackets & Match Videos« on: May 22, 2009, 07:57:41 AM »Quote from: philetbabe;39995 well, its much like Naryar meets Naryar .. i think Naryars should win. Which one ? ______ Predictions... Chizzle - TDL2: Well Chizzle basically sucks excepted for the snapper wedge part. While snapper wedges are better than axle ones, Urjak's one of the best builders we have, plus TDL2 has less ground clearance and the wedges are less angled, means more chances to go under the opponent. I'm going for TDL2 mostly becaus of the building skill gap between both and that Chizzle has lower speed and agility, but Chizzle might win simply because of snapper wedges. Razor 3 - Li-Ewl : Classic hinged wedges beat axle wedges at high speed. However even if L-Ewl is faster than Razor, it can't get enough speed for that to happen, and Li-Ewl's chassis is going to point upwards with a hinge angled that low. I don't get what the smartzone is for, but both bots have roughly the same ground clearance. I'm slightly in Phil's favor. TableTop vs Zapper 8.5: Most good sit and spinners have the edge over gut rippers even fast ones, and SnS own in an enclosed arena. However, they are not that good in an arena with walls and i'd let you guess in a tabletop thing without even any walls... Tabletop will most probably get tossed OOTA easily, especially that Zapper is fast. Widowmaker VS Dune Buggy: I think it's not even worth to mention that. Both bots are equally fast (roughly) but Somebody's is very low to the ground and has great wedges as well as ground clearance, and these are exactly what Dune Buggy misses. Dune Buggy WILL get OOTA quickly. Skirmish 3 vs SoF: A lot of weight wasted in SoF's heavy plow and steel sheets that would have been much better as stabilizers. For me, there is LESS weight wasted on intermediate armor (i wanted the thing to look cool)... However, both bots are equally fast, probably equally wedged and have equal ground clearance. I have a rather acrobatic self righter that works half of the time, but SoF has no self righter. This is an evenly matched fight IMO. Titanium Chicken VS HR-E: While highly original HR-E is faster. Plus it has wedges, that TC lacks. If it would be slower, i would say TC is the winner, but HR-E's speed works in his favor - not the ground clearance though... 22135

Well i designed ICM to be overkill on weapons XD
And yes it's dangerous, i will make it better though. Both of Top Dog and SnowJob aren't killers because it's hard to make a pure rammer a true killer in DSL, especially while keeping the plows which add few to combat efficiency but are mainly for looks and for staying within the theme of the original bots. They are much better than the original versions though and i'm pretty sure Top Dog can beat a popup now, it did beat Mako pretty easily. Also i think Second Sentinel is MUCH better now. 22137

A thing that saddens me in DSL is that originality is fading away.
Hopefully some builders keep adding a little diversity to the game... Click mostly, Phil and Urjak also. 22138

Well i praise your efforts to be original and they are well built, but these two won't be very effective in combat.
Hammer/poker hybrids aren't good with just one smartzone (if you use Topknot.py or something similar with different smartzones for different weapons it could be nice though), and gut-rippers work best when getting under the opponent, hence blocking your hammer. 22140

107.5 amps.
Your weapon setup is okay but for a really efficient drive you should stick to 2WD with the stronger motors/grippier wheels you can find rather than 4WD. Also try to avoid green control boards. |
