Not bad. I do like how the taxi designs line up on the sides.

Looks quite nice. Mags look a bit fragile out to the sides, but I dunno how often opponents would be able to get to them. How's it fare when it's inverted?

RA3 came out and it is awesome .... did you buy it yet?
i love that game !
How did you know I was going to say that? Just a shame that the Razor Tips aren't as good in this one than in previous games.
nary when he found out:  :vista:
Oyea, they made special grippy components for making walkers.
Now they WERE useful. Wooden armour, though, not so. Though the splintering effect when it got hit was very nice indeed.

I've got a slightly better feeling about this tournament than the last one. I think I've got better wedges this time around. Hopefully I won't get screwed this time.

Schweet. Irons should do reasonably well with protecting those flipper segments, which I'm guessing is what the ME's are there for too. How does it do when it's overturned?

is "IRL" trying to follow real life rules, like no crazy stacking and whatnot?

Pretty much. It's trying to build designs you'd see fighting in real-world combat events, instead of exploiting the ever-screwy physics of RA2. Some of people's IRL styles range from sub-standard DSL to almost purely aesthetic builds, such as Cage of Mirrors from the B4ttlebots tournament. There's still a good deal of dispute over what constitutes IRL and what doesn't, but placing aesthetics above efficiency is a good place to start with an IRL build, I feel.

Welcome back, goose. =) You're just in time for the latest version of NAR AI. 123 put together an AI pack as well, and Restocked was coming along nicely for a while.

And I've noticed GK still doing his mod stuff in the Tourney section, S_M.

SoTG won't do since all she draws are girly dudes.
That's a fairle accurate description of me. =D I have previously been mistaken for a girl from the back.

There's no rule about having multiple accounts and entering one bot per account though :trollface

Lolnah.

I wasn't around for BBEANS 4, so I don't know if I can really judge. I don't think it would have been as bad if Scrap had described the bot he wanted, and Sage built it accordingly, like a ghost-builder of some description. I've no idea if this is real or not, though, I just wanted to poke Naryar with a stick. =P

I actually enjoy it when Click enters some of the more interesting bots in the tournaments. It does make things more interesting than some generic popup or 36HS, as he said, which would probably make the matches more repetitive and boring, plus he's already held in extremely high regard among the community, he's got nothing to prove in tournaments. Besides, he's already won Bot Of The Month around 9 times, I think, which calls for much more of the interesting and unique robots than a regular AI tournament does. We shouldn't really be telling people what level of building they should be entering in tournaments, especially not Click. We all know he's one of the best builders on the boards, he shouldn't need to win tournaments to prove it. =)

I'm convinced R0B0 looks like a cross between Mike and Harvey from the law-based show Suits.

Technically, there's nothing in the rules to stop you doing this. But when it comes to choosing a bot to face your opponent, you're effectively choosing from one robot. Thus the opponent's life is made infinitely easier. It defeats the entire objective of this tournament.

I'm now trying to put Circus Galop into Guitar Pro 5. I've got the intro part pretty much bang on, I reckon, but I reckon it'll take about three months to get it properly done.

Ah, I didn't know that. Why isn't it visible in the game, if it's still there in the Teams folder?

Also, PMbomb'd.

Didn't work, it just had "New Robot" in the place where I was building it. But I've got it built again, just need to give it a decent skin.

So I was building my entry, right? Coming along fairly well. Then, without warning, RA2 decided to close itself. Then the internet decided to close itself. And then my computer decided to restarted itself. Turns out it was automatically installing some pointless updates that I didn't even want in the first place. <expletive>ing technology. So no entry from me until tomorrow at the earliest.
