It's here everyone! The Best Bot Builder is open!

Here are the rules:
Me and Thyrus are both going to host this.

Rules:
1. This will be DSL and Stock HW.
2. There will be a stock winner and DSL winner.
3. This will be Stock VS Stock and DSL VS DSL.
4. The end result will be posted as a table, like BBEANS.
5. No BFE, AAM or ZeroG. All building must be done within the bot lab.
6. You may skin your bot outside of RA2.
7. Custom A.Is are allowed as long as they do not interfere with your bots performance.
8. Please A.I yourself, I can A.I but it won't be fine-tweaked.
9. If I do A.I your bot and it loses, please no moaning!
10. You must build a bot for both game types.

Stock Rules:
1. All glitches are allowed.
2. Battles will be done in a reskinned Combat Arena.
3. No cheatbot2 or custom components.

DSL Rules:
1. The realistic rule is in place.
2. No cheatbot2, A.I or custom components.
3. All fighting will be done in a reskinned DSL tourny arena.

General fighting rules:
1. You will be allowed 1 havok per match. If you havok again, you will get disqualified and you will lose that match.
Signups are open until 16 entrants are received.
Black = I have your bots and they are ok.
Red = I have your bots but one/both of them are not ok.
Green = Your bot is A.Ied and ready to go!

This will be run in Nar A.I 2.3 and you may update your bots as many times as you want. When I have 16 entrants, you may no longer update your bot.

You need to say how many times they can change their bots (if any)
 
Maybe one of you guys that like to type can make a list for US to go by.

Okay, we're here guys. 16 SHW bots. 15 of them will Rust In Pieces. One will become a robotic champion.
To enter for your chance, send your SHW bot to me, preferably by the 28th May.
If this fills up fast, there will be a 'WildCard' tournament for the last place.

Rules
1. Realistic DSL SHW. Bots must be over 800kg but under or exactly 1200kg.
2. Multibots are allowed, to a maximum of 2, both bots must be at least 400kg however.
3. The arena used will be The Electric Arena 2 with hazards disables for a large fighting plane with OOTA-able walls.
4. No custom parts, cheatbot2 parts or AI parts.
5. No glitches, e.g. Nasty Pickle or Trinity bots, although Trov Glitch may be accepted in realistic circumstances (see Sage's Hummingbird)
6. I will AI, but I would appreciate you sending your own AI lines if you can.
7. No BFE, AAM etc. All building must be done inside the bot lab (except chassis skinning)
8. Any complaints about the tournament itself, AIing or the like will result in instant disqualification. Any reason that things may not be going as fast as they should (highly unlikely) will be fully explained, and I would appreciate your co-operation. Not saying stuff will happen, but yeah. These rules are here for reasons.
9. A restart will occur if a bot havoks, or is immobilized unfairly (eg stuck on a component). If a robot havoks twice, it will be disqualified.


Entrants
Black if entry will happen, but bot is not recieved (Me and Pwn only)
Red if bot is recieved, not yet implemented into game
Yellow if bot is being AIed or there is a problem (problems will be in brackets)
Green if bot is ready to roll.

OH......I fixed the (Embedding disabled, limit reached) problem and now all vids should show.
 
I re-enabled it for now, so let me know if there are problems.

I got textures to work. :)
Only problem left to fix is the dark shadows but that shouldn't be too hard.

First you go to the top and select Modifiers, then UV Coordinates, then Unwrap UVW
 

 
 
Then you go to Rendering, Material Editor and drag a ball to your component.
 

 
 
Then on the right hand panel you can edit your map.....BE SURE TO NOTICE MAP # AND EXPORT AFTER YOU DO YOUR MAP!!!
Then in your .GMF make sure the map # is the same as you exported.
 
 

 
 
 
Then you go to photoshop (or whatev) and color your map and put it in the Maps folder.
 
 
 
The Reference bot in the downloads section HAS the .gmf, max file and a txt file.

The reference.max is all there is, it is just a square bot for you to use to size your components, and it does not export with the component.

If you have windoze XP with Service Pack 2 then forget it, it won't work.....5.1 with Dummies exporter is better.
I use feet/inches, but foreigners (everybody not from Texas) uses metric!

I am not kidding, it pains me to see (Embedding disabled, limit reached) when I want to see a tournament video when it is just as easy to put up the link to the videos without a problem. What do you think, should we stop embedding videos until YouTube stops being gay.

I have XP at home and it was super until Service pack 2 came out and screwed everything up! (but still 50000000 times better than Vista)
I have XP on my old laptop (that has been in the shop for 3 months) and it was super until it screwed up!
I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on my new laptop I bought as a backup till my old one is fixed.....,IT IS NOT SUPER, but better than Vista.
