I'd say a lower chassis, a slightly smaller chassis, and using 2 Piglets for the saw blade robot. Should reduce a lot of weight.

However, it might increase the width of the front part.

And it's always the one that people don't do as often that are not accepted.

hoo boy where to start

it's 1:42 am so quick rundown: the axe support is slim but tall which looks flimsy and bad, plus it basically is only connected to the chassis in a single 10cm area. the back SNS doesn't make any sense: you have a robot that is entirely based on precise strikes to the front, and you make it spin on the spot where it will never hit anything with the axe? wtf why would you do that? also it looks bland and the battleaxe looks strange on the bot. the casters on the side look pointless and terrible for aesthetics. and you have an incredibly flat chassis which is the opposite of what a hammer should be. thecolours look blerg as well.

edit: also your hammer is perpendicular to the long side, meaning your piston has no room. why? redesign the chassis first and build it not as an extenderframe bot but as a regular one so you can work out a rough shape instead of an extender frame one
Avalanche...

I am not being mean, but I have to point out a few things:

First: The Axe in the back. Yes, I know it is not the best looking thing, however without it, I have a LOT of extra weight. If I had something to do with the extra weight, I would sure change the Axe out. But I don't. And by something, I do not mean making the chassis taller.

Looking Bland:  it looks beautiful compared to other bots in my showcase. *cough*Pages 1-6*cough*

Casters: They are to help stabilize the bot a bit more, if you want, I will change them to those colored Casters.

Flat Chassis:
Flat and wide chassis is ESPECIALLY good for a hammer because it increases stability. Which is extremely important.

The Colors: So you hate Batman?

Hammer Location: Yeah, I could redesign that. However, I think that would be for an entirely new bot in general.

Extender Bot: To be honest, you cannot say stuff about this. You have not made a single extender bot. Well, not as in your showcase. If anybody can criticize me on extender bots, the most worthy is Badger.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: GTM Awards 2016 - Voting Open!

It's just debatable whether some of those people should be the first all time GTM hall of fame members.

Based on this, I'm just wondering if it's because a lot of current member aren't actually aware of the early days of GTM.

I know for a fact that having given some retrospective thought, I didn't vote for a good 4 or 5 members who are probably more deserving that the ones I voted for.

Maybe we should do Historic Hall of Fame and Modern Hall of Fame. Members that have been here since 2007 are Eligible to the Historic Hall, any who came afterwards for Modern.

WTF is a modern hall of fame?
It will be people who deserve to be in it for what they are doing today, and not what they have done in the distant past.

Something doesn't add up...

Are you using STEEL extenders? If so, move to Aluminium. The Axle is floating a bit, use CF to direct the extenders into the axle top (and bottom). Also, as said before, you don't need 5 batteries, one will do. You also have ballasts at the back. Not sure why they are there, remove them to keep weight.

But despite all of this, it is a really good replica.

(I would insert a Joke about somebody here (Not Somebody), but I don't want to start a flame war soooo...)

I use the Titanium 5mm
You must be using steel to hold the motor.
You can reduce weight and make it maybe a CW by using a Perm 132 with axle supports made using CF that are made of Aluminium or something.

I can also see you (might) be using DSC's Colored Extender pack. That's good, gives more color to a bot.

My second replica a better one than revolution 2

Tombstone :

(Image removed from quote.)
Try using a Perm 132 with Component Freedom. Will give the blade much more power.
Also, what armor is it using? And what is the weight of the supports?
Other than that, it looks really good.

Edit: I am also going to give the same advice to you as Craaig did to me; Start a showcase! You will be making even better bots in no time!

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: So, why do we all hate Chomp?
« on: December 28, 2016, 05:24:41 PM »
I don't know who agrees with the first one?!?! But the reason I hate chomp is because it's a sh**ty, barely functional battlebot. It turns over every time it hits its weapon and has the highest center of gravity I've ever seen in a battlebot. But the reason I hate it the most is because it was put through twice over two robots that clearly beat it. Disco inferno pushed it around and turned it over multiple times but because chomp's useless ****ing weapon hit it twice they got the win. then the same thing happened when bite force lost to it. It's just a sh**ty robot that made it farther than it should have because of whatever reason
Chomp actually had a good hammer.
Yes, the Disco Inferno decision was debatable, against Capt and Bite Force, percision hits disabled the weapons. This allows Chomp to control much of the fight.

Badger, calm down.

Flat and wide chassis is ESPECIALLY good for a hammer because it increases stability. Which is extremely important.

The chassis is fine. Granted, the random wheels on the sides aren't very good aesthetics-wise, but that's not the point.
It's an IRL bot. Aesthetics are LITERALLY the point.
Badger.

I think it would please you to hear that after the hammer version is totaly complete, I am not going to add a different version.

Please bin that goddamn chassis. It's too wide and flat, it just looks bad.
Badger.

I will not lay down this chassis until the Hammer is complete.

And then, and ONLY THEN, I will lay down the chassis.

It is also taller than Biohazard. saying armor plates are 2-5 cm, it is 24-30 cm tall.
Well then it's too wide. it's just too flat, for any bot really but ESPECIALLY a hammer. Get ****ing rid of it dude, its ghastly.
Once it deserves to be thrown out (Which by the looks of it, seems soon.)
