That would explain why it showed up at an HPB which tends to be a magnet for those kinds of games (seriously you can find all sorts of random classics).

If it's abandonware does that make the game public domain? I am unfamiliar with the legal terminologies behind what-means-what. I remember several years ago there was a lot of clamor over trying to obtain the game's source code -- would that now be available if the game is recognized as "abandonware"?

Since there's so much talk about simply downloading the game from GTM's servers I wanted to inquire here to see if anyone has still found the game on store shelves and if so, for how much?

I don't know why I did not bring this up earlier but I like to do a lot of scrounging around at Half Price Books stores for things like comics and abandonware and lo and behold sitting on the shelf with the PC games were two sealed retail copies of RA2. They were $5 each. With the exception of the time that I bought it in person at a CompUSA store 11 years ago (I had to preorder it and everything) I have never once seen the game on store shelves. I thought it was a pretty cool find. I still have my retail copy but I bought one of the two from the Half Price Books to give to my youngest brother so he could make the mistake of wasting all of his free time playing the game.  :dumb)

Is there an inherent difficulty associated with the UHW class that I'm not aware of? (Other than the challenge of putting 5,000kg worth of stuff on a robot.)

Are there ever any tournaments held for UHW robots? Seems like it would be an interesting class considering the amount of crap you could put on a robot with that weight allotment.

How did the builder of Self-Defense mount the hex pad directly onto their motor? I can never seem to do that.

I honestly think judge bursts should be only allowed for hammers. Hammers need a boost in competitiveness.

Clearly you've never seen Jeremy Clarkson.

i feel that if we continued with the roboteer title distribution, it would end up with people taking RC cars and being all like "this is my first robot"

All of the robots I built were made from about 90% scrapped RC car parts and I have two tournament wins in open-class events and a runner-up from an RFL-sanction event. It's more about the engineering than where the parts came from, imo.

IMO, RFS should be some kind of "Super Veteran" for having 10 years. Normal veteran title goes for those who have been 5 years around, for example. Just a suggestion.

no, stop sucking his dick
I'd rather suck his than your tiny weewee

I dunno, man, I'm a pretty big dragon. Are you into macrophilia at all? :3c

edit: Jonzu doesn't have to suck my dick because I sit at the lunch table with him simply because we share similar interests and that's that. Also, both of us are/were apparently social outcasts and/or community assholes at one point.  :gawe:

You know tommy, you can just post your ideas in your post instead of needing us to download a file to have to read them.

also I would probably kill you for calling my bot kawaii... if I didn't thought it was also small and somehow cute

I've got MS Office on my work laptop so I can just open them straight from Firefox, haha. :P

Hate to derail, but I've got a random question about WordPress development that hopefully I could get some direction on here. It's a theme recommendation.

I really "like" this theme: http://wordpress.org/themes/skt-full-width

The only problem is that it frankly sucks horribly. The little spinner on the front page doesn't update automatically when you make a new post, the whole "full width" thing goes out the window when you look at a sample page, and there are parts of the display that cannot be disabled without having to modify the CSS of the site pretty heavily. So, while there are a lot of aspects I like about this site (small banner off to the left-hand side, full width background with 50% opacity text boxes on top), there's a lot that I don't like and I can't exactly fix all of it.

Does anyone here with experience developing WP sites have a recommendation for a skin/theme similar to this one that isn't total crap? Premium is fine, if the theme works well money is not an object in this scenario.

I made the mistake of spending my high school years meticulously memorizing the names of everyone who joined AceUplink and all I have to show for it is a purple name.

Don't make the same mistake(s) as me.  :gawe:

my brown username cost me like 3k

I got mine for $200 get on my level

mine was probably a tiny bit under $200
Ive spent ~£200 on robots and no coloured name for me  :dumb)

Incredibot > Crush Fetish (oh god it should make a mess)

Quietly confident that I might actually win some fights this time.

I know right? Monster trucks do that. I'm sorry in advance. It was a good run for you in the SHW class, you can rest easy knowing you lost to the best.  :gawe:
