If my opinion is "give only the details we need, and fill the rest of the space with witty descriptions", that would be the second one, right?

Got it fixed. Ran an antivirus that picked up something mwb couldn't see and it did the trick.

Here's the simplest solution that Google came up with:
press ctrl+alt+delete-->open the task manager-->click file-->new task-->type explorer.exe-->press enter.

Failing that, this page has a more complex suggestion
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/windows-7-taskbar-icons-disappear/1ae80c85-04fc-4bef-8a1f-56ee4dc154c5
I think the first measurement I'll take to preventing this from happening twice is getting windows 7 once and for all and letting xp-chan rest peacefully

So I turned my computer on a couple of days ago and my taskbar and all my desktop shortcuts are just poof, banished. In fact, the only way I'm actually using this computer to type this is through task manager and the power of my brain's memory, in which I remembered that I can run an executable from it.

This is what my desktop looks like currently.

yes that's google chrome, FFVI and Bjorn, the fell-handed.

anywho, I've run malwarebytes multiple times and it's coming back with nothing, but there's an annoying little extension thing that keeps showing up in my google chrome settings (after I banish it to hell)

Anyone got any ideas?

playground
Stop right there, Justifissu-san! You've committed a crime!

When people are getting lolmrskeltoneds sent to their PMs, that's not playground.

And everyone who's saying "lol but playground" is forgetting that Spamming is actually something Trovaner banned on playground.

But even before that, everyone saying "lol but playground" is a ****ing numpty because PMs are, you know, not playground.

The power of Kurtsokei is far more powerful than a leisurely stroll.

And apparently more powerful than Jonzu's affinity to animals...?

i mean its like when you're driving and you yell in your car at some1 driving slow in front of you. Does it really affect your day that much? No, so ther's no point in pissing and moaning, same goes for the internet, imo

Actually that's not entirely true. There are very sensible people that can have their day ruined with one insult or awkward situation. These people may insult or make fun of others for whatever occasion. But if someone else does it to them, they can't handle it, they just can't shake that moment off. I know this because I am one of those people.

It only affects me when I'm facing people IRL. On the Internet I already developed antibodies, lol

Anyway, hi Conraa
god u ****ing MANTISLOVER.

Anyway, what the hell is actually going on? Conraaa returns, Craaig stops being level headed, 09 complains about not being treated like a vet?

Chatterbox / Re: How to deal with paranoia/fear
« on: August 15, 2014, 08:07:43 PM »
So, in recent weeks I've lost sleep. Usually staying up til 2-3. In the morning out of fear. And it's not the first time.

It always happens when I decide to dip my foot into any kind of horror media (more often than not out of curiousity) And as of late, Five nights at Freddy's has been haunting me, but The Ring and Paranormal Activity (both of which I was unwillingly "persuaded" to watch) come back from time to time. I have no idea why but I will not stop thinking about whatever it is even as I lay my head to rest.

And so I ask, whats the best way to get rid of this fear/paranoia?
Watch The Grudge by yourself in the middle of a cold night.  The Ring and Paranormal Activity would stop being scary in no time.
Additionally, go into your room or any room at the darkest hours of the night, block off any sources of light except for a reading light to read with, and make sure your surroundings are dead quiet.

Once you've done all of that, read any good Dean Koontz book in those conditions. And don't try to hide under a blanket or anything. That stuff will scare you straighter than an arrow and everything else will seem like child's play.

Oh.

It took me so long to figure out that joke, badnik.

I deal with paranoia and fear by arming my brain with insanity. I'm convinced there are enough terrible things in my memory to scare away any sort of danger that shows itself.

But really, refrain from that crap, specifically the "HURR IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOO" crap. Paranormal Activity and The Ring are swimming in it. I mean, you can either stay away from it or blaspheme it. There's a youtuber somewhere of which I forget the name, but he was like "Slenderman stops being funny if you imagine slenderman with a kawaii uguu anime face, or if you imagine he's just a telemarketer in the forest."
