righty ho! its heavyweight time!
thought i had better get my arse into gear and finaly start work on my first heavy becuse getting badly beaten in feathers and ants is SOOOO last year
the plan is to build some thing cheap, reliable, heavy and moveing. the first one has already failed, but ah well tis only money
since everthing seems to be a flipper nowadays invertable seemed was the only way forward (without buggering around with self righters or nooomatics) and having a wedge just seemed the sensible thing to do.
going old tech with the parts atm i have
24v wheelchair motors (4 of them, so i have spares!)
go kart tyres with hubs and some adapters made to fit them to the motor shafts
200 amp 4QD's for speed control
10a 12v sla's ( gonna be running 36v)
20mm HDPE sheets
20mm mdf
mild steel box section
the wedge is going to be 8mm thick mild steel, just to add a bit of weight and protection, the rest will be hdpe then a layer of wood. hopefully i can scratch shwruption's paintwork, that is the sole aim of this
it takes great skill to design a wedge you know
i'll update with some pictures when i get the frame welded up
