Some of the questions are better but it's a pain in the arse when they ask you how you feel about 2 things in the same question, an example being, "Do you think that euthanasia and suicide should be legal?". I agree with one but not the other.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want suicide to be legal, like... what are you gonna do, throw the corpse in jail? Oh, that'll teach it a lesson 
idk it's 2am and I'm tired, I'll fill this in tomorrow
It's about the act of trying to do it. Should there be a punishment for it if you try?

I'm not sure CF should be allowed. It's fair game in stock and DSL but I reckon a Retooled IRL tournament should be completely vanilla for balance purposes, as it's not been done before.
Considering how close we are to 8 people, I'll keep it out this time.

Yep. I went crazy today, that's clear. Alright lads, let's clear up the mess. So, after talking to Tom, I've realised that I have no idea what I'm going on about because it wasn't too long ago that I had this debate with someone else and fought along different lines: "We shouldn't care about whether others want to commit suicide because it's easier just to let themselves do it and move on to another person." Small story time. I used to be a helper at my school for mental health, helping year 7s with stress, bullying and the like. I was the best at it and was the only one to actually give a cra*. I became a big advocate for it in the school and gained a high reputation for it. After I made a big mistake, I was kicked out, I fell into my depression (not just for losing the job but my reputation and the closest person to me). After a year and a half, I lost a lot of my sympathy for mental health suffers but came out of my own depression. That's why I think I'm so desensitised to it all now. I've been through it all and believe that I understood it all. Basically, I'm taking back what I said today and revaluating it all because when I say it back to myself now, it doesn't make a lick of sense. I'm sorry for being a stubborn idiot. I'll come back with an argument that makes a lot more sense.

 As far as I'm aware, this would be the first. Retooled IRL. Heavyweight. DSL Tournament arena (Reskinned) No cheatbot2 components. I can AI but would much prefer for you to do it yourself. Two robots per person, single elimination tournament. 16 Slots. No glitches allowed/external modifications. Best of 3 for each round. No updating once the original bot has been sent in. One restart if there is a havoc. My own judgement will be used for a fight. I shall be entering. In an official tournament, shouldn't the videos be a bit more professional? It isn't representing the forum but the tournament and the creator. This though should be an example of what a very good, high quality tournament is because the label is on all of us, not just Thacker. To someone who doesn't come on the forums and hears the final's music of IF, it's more than likely that they'll think that GTM is a big joke since this is the official tournament. If we want decent people here then we should have a decent official tournament. It's only a small change. One that could be greatly beneficial, though.

To throw it out there, I hate the welfare state in Britain and am so against most welfare in the country. If a person who is 16 can work then they should. That goes up to the age of 65.
Would that include people in further education (i.e. 6th form or Uni)? Even people persuing degrees that would not make them more marketable in regards to the workplace? Should people not have freedom to do what they want with their lives, even if that includes not working (for whatever reason)? Going further, should dedicated stay-at-home housewives (without children) be forced into work?

Yes, even if you only working for a few hours a week. It's better than nothing. No, I don't believe so. If you are able to work then you should be because society revolves around everyone working together.
You have me there, though. It depends really on what they actually do at home and of course, that's too hard to monitor.
Would you say that it's just morally wrong to intentionally stay out of work, for whatever reason, or would you legally force people to work in that situation, even if they aren't claiming benefits?
Oh, and would you include the mega-rich who wish to retire at like 35, and live off their wealth for the rest of their life?
I would certainly say that it's morally wrong as you aren't contributing. As for not claiming benefits, that's a different story. That's another case by case scenario as you may be contributing in a different way like being a volunteer. It all depends on how you are getting your money to live. My dad retired at the age of 55 and hasn't worked since and yes, I'm not happy with it. As for the mega-rich, it's a different situation. Basically, I'm on the fence about it. I would appreciate if they continued to work but obviously, if they contributed way more than the average then I could see it as being acceptable, especially if they were doing charity work after. Edit: in other news, I somehow came out as a centralist on spekr. Don't know the exact score.
