Well, this is a running joke you know. I have you know that sometimes I do have a laugh behind the screen of my Laptop and the person who made this mistake can carry on with this if they wish, but I honestly wish that someone can put the correct name down, without descending into a Flame war over me not getting a joke.
actually, to be honest, i don't see or get the joke.
You see Asbesto. When I first join GTM, most users often misread the last letter in my Username as an capital "I", which is meant to be a lower case "l". Due to this error, some users over the forums and the GTM Discord start typing my username as "Dark-AI" instead of "Dark-AL". Which leads to me correcting them, turning this into a unintentional, running joke. It's gets annoying when most people get my name wrong, but it turns out to be a little more funnier after a while and users often correct it or typing my username as "Dark-AL", to avoid me correcting them. Still, what's with the pope part next to my username anyway?

Literally rebuilt Red Devil five times before finally settling on this version.
PS: Cobra looks awesome Resetti, definitely one of the most underrated Robot Wars robots. Is there supposed to be a part underneath the claw? It's really hard to tell.
I think that's just a boa the team put on for the introduction/turntable/"hero shot".

AVA, my man, I did not count how many fights i have, i just know it is under 100.
But, be honest LRA2, what separates me from the rest of the event hosts besides a different format?

What separates you from other event hosts is a total detachment from reality and proven incompetence when it comes to all other RA2 related actions. I mean, what the **** even is your Robogames MW entry? I don't think I've even seen you create a single good robot in your entire time here. Open a showcase, build some robots, learn and then the forum will not see you as a walking joke.
And your "I have awesome plans for SBV, such as a half time show, commercials, comedy, and bonzi buddy." won't work because nobody wants commercials or a halftime show in a ra2 tournament, you don't have the editing skills necessary, you are only found funny when you **** up, and "bonzi buddy" isn't funny. The only times you are funny is when we are laughing at you, not with you.
That being said, if you can make this tournament not a total sh**show, then I'll start paying some respect. But till then, I consider you one of the worst active members of GTM. And coming from me, you know that's pretty bad.

Basically the rebalance patch fixes the ****ups Click made in balancing, such as having heavier weapons be god-tier and weapons with normals being god-tier. It's generally a good idea just to slap it on.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that patch died a death.
All you really need is DSL 2.2 and DSC's IRL packs to be "up to date" if you wanna do IRL building. Maybe throw Badnik's disc cover pack and Mr AS's DSL rebalance in there too, even though the former hasn't been used in a tournament as yet AFAIK and the latter has only been used a couple of times but is picking up steam.

Avalanche, I think it is ok, BY The Way, if you try hard enough, you may be able to get your 1st event win.
I doubt you'll even release a single video. I fully expect you to get a hosting ban after this: maybe then you'll do us all a favour and leave GTM.

Wow. That's a lot of config choices.
Anyways, my first matches are interesting.
ROSB is fighting Sheet Metal, a overhead thwackbot. I think the exposed wheels on sheetmetal should be easy pickings for ROSB but I've no idea if Sheet Metal actually is a overhead or if it is just a overcomplicated SNS.
Blitz Mk. II is fighting Praise Be Upon Yakub, which is an non-invertible spinner. While my robot isn't built to take on spinners, the icewave illuminati engine may prove Yakub's downfall.
Raus has to fight Vanilla ice, which is an SNS/HS hybrid and therefore is my worst nightmare in that it will hit the chassis side and won't stay still on the wedge.
Anti Gravity is fighting Prince Duck: a strange robot that runs configs, making it hard to predict.
Fighter Mk. IV is fighting Mermaid Evo: A drum spinner. I'm concerned that his drum will outwedge me and then rip me up, but he has to get past my spinner first.
Panzer Strike is fighting Crashbox, which while dangerous if it gets under me has to get past the plow and DSL bars if it just attacks straight forwards. Panzer however cannot selfright so basically even if it wins this it's ****ed anyways.

Firstly, WBC only did that with illegal pre-filled bottles with nitrogen at higher pressure than allowed. They only ever did it once.

And actually RW stacked the deck in favor of spinners by retaining an active weapon rule, plus putting a sh**load of spinners in, and not really having any spinner killers outside of Foxic and Wyrm. I mean, did you even watch S9?

Finally, do you want half the field to be overpowered flippers that send robots into the ceiling with every flip? Because that's what you are going to get unless you prevent Paladin/Aether Paradise/Delta levels of power from being accepted.
Half the field last time were lackluster Hammers... I'm open for a change... Besides, you don't decide what bots people make. I'm half expecting a couple of drum bots, tbh.
Also, you're sticking to a sh** team system that is going to make the tournament worse. Why? You're making a sequel to a tournament, why not improve what was clearly bad about the tournament?

And "All robots must incorporate an active offensive weapon which is designed to damage, immobilise or seriously affect the operation of the opponent’s robot. Weapon specifications must be included on your application form for approval. No additional or major changes to weaponry will be allowed during the event." Also entanglement is not a proven way of beating a spinner, but a spinner killer wedge is: but the active weapon rule prevents this. B: "Half the field last time were lackluster Hammers... No. 5/16 were hammers: Mecha Hitler, Hammerhead, Axe Questions Later, Dragoon and Killshot. Mecha was actually a hybrid, as well. And, to be honest, the only lackluster robots were AQL and Killshot. We ended up having 4 Horizontal spinners, 2 sawblades, 1 eggbeater, 2 flipper and 1 rammer. That's not half the field being hammers. C: That's not a good reason. Team Dark ended up with no flipper and no robot that could efficiently take on Paladin. If it was a draft system, I/Demon could have taken Flipster, Solaris and other invertible robots etc. to take on Paladin. I prefer the 'pick a team' system to the drafting system. The drafting system used on LvD2 just turned the tournament into britbongs vs amerifats only sh**tier.
A draft allows for tactical decisions that would not be possible under the pick a team system and in theory prevents unbalanced teams: and even if it doesn't fully prevent them, it does work to at least limit the likelihood of unbalancing teams. It's either pure luck or strategy.

Dude, you SPECIFICALLY told me that you would give me time after the original deadline to rebuild the minibot, because you initially accepted it. You never gave me a second deadline, and now you're forcing me to compete 70kgs underweight becuase you don't like my bot? It takes you literally 5 seconds to update the minibot since I ai'd it for you.
And yeah paladin's gonna be super OP in an arena where you basically can't be OOTA'd. Whatever, I only really care anout my SHW entry tbh.
Paladin sends things into the ****ing roof. Yeah, it's OP.

I'm going to release the brackets in a couple of days when I finish work experience, but for now, I am going to give answers to a few of the questions I have.
And where did my HW's distractionbot go?
I never got it in time. While my timing was bad, I could have accepted the minibot around 1 week over the final deadline at the maximum, but this was 2 weeks over. That, and Paladin is already OP without a minibot made.

With all the time you spend bitching about people posting multiple robots, you could actually give feedback on them instead. Just a thought.
I had to go off and it was 1am. I needed sleep so I finished the post off and went to bed. I'll review en in a bit. Also, well done to Hoppin for editing in detailed advice. That's what showcases are for. Saturnalia: Good but generic. Give it some accenting with wedge edges, spikes, extenders, extras. You have a lot of colours to choose from, try and use them all. Also, it needs a less generic skin. Also, this robot is unrealistic as ****. Look at how the npc goes through the burst. How the hell is a piston meant to get through there? Magnhild: Build to the weightlimit. That's just under 125kg wasted. Your chassis is too small. That's a ****ing puny burst. I'd be surprised if your robot didn't fly through the air everytime you fired the burst. Slimbodies on a HW? No. Use the weight limit and get some NPC'sin there. Stick an armour plate on or 2 to add to the look. Decorate. The skin looks messy with some being plain white and others being metal. Build up a look for the skin. Stormflower: Unrealistic as ****: the bar and teeth go through the perm and I think actually hit the drive motors and wheels in places. The Sir K claws do not fit the bar: use something else. Put the perm in theback and extend the belt out to the front. Use Left and Right NPC's because they are flatter. Too many batteries for sure: The batteries shuld tell you how many motors they can power, and for how long they power it for. Crocea Mors: Looks good. Slimbodies clip with the battlepacks though, and that is not good. Get into the habit of Building realistic constantly. Using an excuse of "it won't appear in tournaments" is just a way of refusing to improve. Ruby Rose: Can't really see the internals well. Try and fit the skin to the extender colour. You probably need a wedge on there. Slimbodies for drive? NO. Black Sun: Unrealistic. Don't use Ant batteries. Longer belt on the motor. Underweight. Yoton: Generic. Needs a better skin. Underweight: this is underweight even for Cruiserweight standards. Unrealistic AGAIN. Rum/Flipper Arma/Garudimimus/Einiosaurus: Looks decent. No advice available becaus eyou haven't provided internals, outside of a request for a better skin.
