Bronco vs. Plan X

Reason: Bronco just needs one good flip to seal the deal.

Bronco flipping Plan X was in a promo also. Flipping something large and spindly looking up into the spike strips. That one is pretty much an open and shut case.

Yeah it looked like that was their backup. Spinner wasn't powerful anyways.

I'd be extremely impressed if a wammer/SnS hybrid could be at all effective.

I didn't really like this episode as much as the 1st the forced drama is stupid you really want me to cheer for some guys who look like tumblr SJWs because one of my fav builders as a child was probably told to do a last hit for drama, same with the CC debacle it was just unnecessary and took time away from showing other fights for drama because the guy found a loop hole. The wildcards were also dumb the only one who I felt really deserved it was Overhaul, Warhead got humiliated, Witch Doctor got KOed, and I didn't even see Chomp. My fav fights where Lockjaw v Overhaul and CC v Raptor and both were full of unneeded bullsh**. I'm really starting to get worried with the direction this show is going with I hope episode 3 just focuses more on the fights and less drama.

I agree with a lot of this honestly. The editing put me off quite a bit just because it was a really poor transition into it, and because I didn't expect it out of the show. It makes more sense in hindsight though. The "16 bots" promos were kind of a lie to be honest. The drama was also super off-putting. Whether it was real or not, I'm just very skeptical of it all. The real drama though was Tombstone. I can see one hit after Counter Revolution stops, but it was two, and it really shredded it. I'd be PISSED if that was my robot that he kept bashing (unless the driver was asking for it, as people sometimes do). But that was an annoying episode for a number of reasons. I think it'll only get better from here though, the matches should be good. And to be fair, Radioactive vs. Sweet's Revenge looked to be about the lamest match since Robot Wars Series 1.

The latest Battlebots instagram picture has Chronic vs. Counter Revolution on the big board in the background.

Huh?

How much weight would you have leftover if you just built a generic 36HS off of that setup?

Well for a robot that you're controlling, rearward weapons aren't bad. But with the general building style being directed towards the AIed tournaments, having all weapons on one side would increase strength. And I agree about the weapon types. Having all of one weapon can let them all hit simultaneously, which is better. Plus, iron spikes and/or maces are stronger. But iron spikes are far easier to use.

Very svelte chassis for an American bot

Really cool RA2 Robot wars mod has been worked on, the thread is worth a close read. No huge building innovations as far as I remember but I've been pretty out of it also. Ironforge is new though, and is cool.

wow and i thought complex spinners were a dead genre

I think they still pretty much are. Pop-ups will be a bad time. Sure looks cool though.

He always seemed like a really stable guy.

So Overhaul has cam shuffling, interesting. By any chance, was Zipdragon64 involved? I don't know his real life name but he's made a few shuffles over the years.
