Well... It's now the 30th... And no more entries....

And they end on Oct 1st.   :gawe:

Suprisingly... life just got less complicated for me.  I'm going to work on some bots.  I'll submit one later today Thyrus.

Most of the links on that site make my Internet Security program freak out.

Beware.  I think it might be a phishing site that bought up the domain.

and wait..... is that a V3 Billy Goat Gruffer? if it is, you can try upgrading to Starcore V4 Alpha.

Dude.  Do you really think he needs prompting to jump into the next level already?  Take a moment and look at his building experience and let him pwn the crap out of bots that are a reasonable challenge.  Once he is comfortable with that, then going up to the next level is a good idea.

So, I disagree.  Kaptain's skills need a bit more work before he moves up to the next challenge level.  But, he is learning well.  So the potential is there.

Knowing Ty4ler's luck... he will probably win the tourney anyways.  :P

I am surprised there are not more flippers in this.  I tried to build a decent one.  But, without judge bursts, I couldn't seem to nail the right power mix.  The diversity in this tourney is astounding to be honest.

Edit: Also, can we change the topic logo to brackets?  It makes it stand out in my "show unread topics"  list and I like to zero in on tournaments instead of reading about food.

Dang.  I like Urjak's strategy.  Wish I had thought of that.

Looking forward to the rumbles.  I think Marty is going to take the first one.  But, really, anything can happen.

There are not enough inefficient builders around here who simply judge bots based on the coolness factor.  (like me  :gawe: )

Also, the internet is a playground for people who feel like they can get an ego boost out of giving advice.  Not going to use any names here... but some "advice givers" really should just be muted from the showcases altogether because they depend on the experience to make them feel more knowledgeable.  They are not truly giving feedback because they care about about the advancement of the builders skill.

I want to enter... but my life just got really complicated.  I will watch how entries pan out though... worst case scenario I can enter El Chupacabra for the lulz.

Nice dude! Your improvements are great.

Sometimes when I adjust the chassis slider to its lowest point the actual height of the chassis will vary.  (if that makes any sense)

What I am saying is that you can actually make your chassis a bit lower if you move the slider to the bottom and eyeball the height of the chassis.  You will notice that sometimes it will go lower than expected.  When I am trying to make a chassis that allows for invertability with shiny wheels, I will play around with the slider several times until I hit a sweet spot that is low enough for shiny wheels yet high enough to fit stuff like HPZs and black batteries.

Give it a shot.

I remember seeing that on youtube forever ago! Do you remember who built who?

I made Jade Falcon. Which was terrible in the tournament... but had the most ingenious self righting mechanism.  (which was useless because the matches lasted like 10 seconds tops)

Usually it takes me a few hours to make a bot and then an hour or more to skin it...  So, I am afraid of booting up RA2 because I will loose a chunk of my day.  :P

I used to have a pretty bad fear of ascending and descending ladders.  But, I spent the past two summers forcing myself to overcome that fear and now it's all good.

So, now... I fear nothing.

Bring it on! Heights. Bugs. Animals. Pop Music. I can take it.  Grrrrrrrr.
