DSL TC Showcases / Clash Cubes 2 Showcase
« on: June 29, 2009, 11:29:07 AM »
Predictions so far:

Xenophobik Ressurektion: Clone, spinup time fail, low defense. Going to pull of an Archimandrite and get destroyed.

Dark Matter: Near-clone. Decent bot overall.

Blade Wave: I'm definitely aiming for the best wedge of the tournament. It's pretty good, i just don't want to fight a multibot or something with Ti half-sheets on the baseplate.

3 cubed: Obvious fail

Hellish Charm: Hmm it's nice, but it's not going to spin very fast for a SnS. Gut rippers will pose a problem even with the armor added.

Hypercube 2: Big Bad Brother clone - better though. Not going to spin very fast as well.

Faaip de Oiad: Eer. 6 razors for a SHW popup is really weak... Heavy armor isn't going to handle you the victory, R0B0.

Head Chef: VERY dangerous with bottom armor now. Slow spinning however...

Shinigami: Not badly built. Too fragile and not wedgy enough to be a good contender though.

Destiny: Unneccesarily large wheels and chassis. Exposed wheels also - this looks like a not-as-good SHW Cataclysm.

Mad Box's True Form: Yes, he is from the West. And a spinner as well...

Lament Configuration: Very cool and the best bot name of the tournament as well. Wedges are going to fail however - i feel it.

Please Die: Gay skin. Not going to fair well with a high ground clearance as well as overall low defense.

The Trap Master/Decoy: Nicely built multibot and the thing i'm afraid of. Has some potential - unless it gets raped by a SnS or Head Chef.

Sage's bot: Nicely built - but not powerful enough to beat all the sit and spinners, and will probably get destroyed by any good gut ripper.

Linck's bot: That's the slowest DSL bot i have ever seen (really)... slow spinup time as well and is toast if a gut ripper gets under him - can't self right also, so it might be a SFTW.

Grindhouse: Well built - however it's a little slow for a gut ripper.

Viper's Wrath: Slow and poor wedge... but it's average enough to avoid the SFTW status.

Timber: While being the coolest bot of all the bracket, it's slow for a hammer and not wedgy enough. Will probably rape all the shell bots though.

SURPRISE!: Decently built... not combat-efficient at SHW level though.

CA will probably get the BTSHDBBDDTBD thing.

Predictions time!

R4 over SurgicalStrike because an overlapped popup made on snappers isn't as wedgy as a good ol popup made on the baseplate. Also rubbers.

Copyright Infringement over Cocytus IV... Cocytus is too slow to gut rip that 36-weapon HS. CE will shred the ramplates and the chassis for the win.

Seism 13 over Absolute Chaos... FB's popup proved his worth by easily destroying 2 36-mace HS in a row. Why can't it hit on another ?

I am currently installing Windows on an unused partition of my hard drive and will try to fix the ntoskrnl file and save my RA2 and other important things on my 6-year-old first edition iPod.

Or you say it's better to save files, format everything and restart from zero ?

Well my Windows XP is a complete bitch, and so i'm looking forward to get Linux and to use Linux only. It's seemingly lighter, less laggy, more stable, less virus...

BUT it's worthless to get it if RA2 doesn't works on it.

Any other ideas than that wine ?

Not bad.

Your wedges should be farther from each other... not overlapping.

AAND... guess what... my S32 folder got raped and i can't run windows, it seems the ntoskrnl.exe file is damaged or missing.

I did found the solution on the internets but my comp says access denied when i try to fix the thing...

I just hope i won't lose my RA2 files.

Nope. Maybe because the motors are not directly attached to the chassis...
