Ugh... Serge... why are you punishing yourself?
Ok, when you are done watching those you must cleanse yourself and watch "Battle Royale". For me mmm'kay?

Heh, I was just checking the lineup for the race to see who made it from the qualifying races this afternoon. I am bummed out that Blaney did not make it. I think Jamie McMurray has a great shot at winning the 500. He was insanely good during the shootout race, and his lap times have been phenominal. If he can score some good drafting partners then he could really contend.
From your poll I choose Kurt. Brad K knows his way around the plate tracks really well. I think the two of them will work together really well if they can line up and draft.
It is going to be a great race HA. Nice to see another fan on the boards.

Good to see that Linck is on a roll making bots that don't AGOD. :P
Fire Ant looks great! How well does the wedge work?

Well, the discussion of this tournament prompted me to practice making an AW in DSL.
Holy friggin' havok-fest Batman! It seems like if you try to make an AW uber powerful in any way possible, it will just havok all over the place.
I am actually quite pleased by this though. It makes for an insane challenge.

Excellent! Well that certainly opens up some neat possibilities for creativity among us.
I feel some questions coming on... but the first one I have is: If you adjust your quality settings on your game, build the bot and test it and everything works ok, but then send it to somebody for a tournament. Will it likely cause their game to crash if they try to use it for a match? Or does the tourney host have to change the quality settings to accommodate the bot?

Don't give up Zog! We have faith in you. Remember... there is a degree of celebrity status that goes with completing a tourney. Think of all the prestige. Think of the respect. Think of the Fame. Think of all the girls that will flock to you, shouting joyously "Zog Zog Zog Zog!"
Let us know if you need any help.

Probably old news... but the multi-extender has borked attachment points. One side the attachment point is flush with the surface of the extender... the other side, the attachment point is recessed in a bit. Whenever I have a problem attaching something to those, I just spin it 180 degrees and try again. Usually that solves the problem. You probably already know this, but I figured I would toss that info out there anyways.

I will admit. That is the best one you have shown thus far. It is clean and looks great. You have been improving, did you spend extra time on that one? It does not have a name, but did you know that the color purple is symbolic for royalty? Maybe that will help inspire a name for your bot.

Around a week ago the game started to crash at startup every single time I try to play it. I haven't AI'ed for months. I havent done anything other than build bots, take screenshots and fight for like 3 weeks.
I don't think I could have caused it, because DSL works pretty fine. And no, unlike what I said in my showcase, this time it isn't my sister switching files lol
also quote: Until I get RA2 to work again I can't enter anything, since all my botsare impossible to replicate IRL, because they are totally unreal.
Best thing to do would be to Make a fresh install of the game and import the bots you want to keep. Be sure to read the rules carefully... He does not want you to replicate a bot you have made already... He wants you to take an AI bot "one of the opposing bots that comes with the game, the bonus bots, or the rookie bots" and make a killer out of it within the rules.

I DID IT.
I'm going to do some thorough testing to make sure, but I think I found the little bump in the programming that allows for smaller havok constraints... meaning Trov . Glitch chassis will work in your exhibition matches and test garages. WIN.
Rock on! I did some more variables with chassis size and limits... most of my findings were not agreeable to DSL however. Glad you got somewhere with your testing. :D

Heheh. Thanks guys. I like it too... it is just terrible in combat. Joe is right, I could have gone with the obvious uber-damaging weapons, but I wanted to stay true to the roots of the bot and make it a true boxer.

*headdesk* Radio F Software.
Jeeze llooop. Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone was brilliant and all-knowing like you. /end sarcasm Pardon his rudeness Powerrave. Radio F Software is a member here that likes to build realistic bots as well. He has stuck to that for quite a few years. Probably one of the more passionate realistic builders on the forum. I (agreeing with lloop) think he would like your work.

Hey Jonzu... just so there is no confusion, you should post the weight limit on the front page for reference.

Does the one on the bottom right work in the test garage of your DSL game?
Hmm... I didn't try any of them in the garage until you just mentioned it. But it crashes the game. Odd. I will have to tinker with it some more tomorrow and see if I can make it stable. Does the same for you huh?
