Looks like you need a better way to attach the blade to the motor shaft. I'd make a hub and press fit it to the motor's shaft then bolt on the blade. It also looks like the blade is too small and too high to hit much. I almost want to suggest seeing if you could make a undercutter with that setup.
Edit: sorry if this comes a cross as harsh. It's my personal opinnion of your bot as another builder and I'm only trying to help and give advice. 2143

The face spinner looks almost like an after burner. You should totally add a rear flamethrower to complete the affect.

Off-Topic Discussion / SKBT Needs to Learn C« on: June 10, 2011, 10:00:09 AM »
This is mostly directed at at Serge and the guys who actually know what they are talking about.
As the topic says I need to learn C and have a couple of questions about it. What are the best free tutorials or guides to learn from? Whats the learning curve for it? I already know some basic stuff in labview but I know C is real coding not connecting flow charts together and seeing it work. What do I need to program in it? Do I need special software to write the code in or can it be done in Notepad++ 2145

When you said high pressure I thought you were referring to HPA. :P
There is the "dead zone" between the bumper and the lexan at Robogames but NERC doesn't have a "dead zone". 2146

Robots Showcase / Re: Team CWG« on: June 08, 2011, 06:37:32 PM »On topic: Maybe you could give Shish more power, like a pair of 150-Ampflow motors. I'm already pushing 4 hp with what I got in it now. I might switch to dewalts though but that would require a bigger vantec and a battery with more capability. 2149
Robots Showcase / Re: Team CWG« on: June 08, 2011, 04:07:29 PM »Make a shell spinner! :P Make a replica of SFTW. I was thinking more along the lines of a teapot or toaster with a hammer for the 6lber but shell spinner is defiantly out of the question because of my lack of machining ability. 2150

Summer build plans...
30lb: flipper bot (un named, un decided basically just an idea right now) Uprgades for Shish: Titanium front armor and wider wheels 12lb: Nothing really maybe make wheels guards for it? 6lb: Thing-A-Ma-Bot (I have no clue what to build for Botblast and its probably going to end up being a joke entry made purely for entertainment purposes) 2151

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Your favorite robot!« on: June 08, 2011, 02:52:09 PM »Fights here are more tactical, in the US its just "hit the other bot with the big spinner" So then why is it that for the past few years Robogames and The Combots Cup have been won by Wedges or Lifters. :P If it was all about the weapon Last Rites would have won every year since its creation. As for drivers... It depends on the person. There is no gene that causes people to be good at driving a robot. 2153

Hey anyone remember this?
Since I've kinda got time now are people still interested in this? I'll remake the "head" components and make them more head like. 2154

I just had an idea. Could I re-make JODF with a larger chassis and see if that works? I've got 4 kg to play with so I know the chassis can be a lot bigger.

You might get one ant out of $400 if you are frugal with your money. A radio/receiver and ESC combo for an ant will run you around around $130 alone.

Whats up with Jaws of Defeat's and havoking lately? First Jaws of Defeat in Tag Team Tussle and now Jaws of Defeat Funsize in RA2 Trials. :P
JODF doesn't havok on my computer. I tried it in the KOTH arena and in a random assortment of others before I sent. Edit: Did I also forget to send an AI line for JODF? 2159
