Double Post.
I am about halfway through the main splash... Hopefully I will have that up this weekend (pending SSG's stamp of approval)
After that we will work on the brackets and other assorted candy. But that will give you all plenty of time for predictions.

I try to visit all the showcases... But I tend to be drawn to Pwn's, Scrap's, Sage's, Naryar's, and 123stw.
All things being considered, I probably visit the Replicas Thread the most. Which is pretty much a collective showcase.

hmmmm... but they would have to be symmetrical as in if you attached 10 and they were all symmetrical, then attaching 7 would be unbalanced.
Good point... only the even numbers would be symmetrical for all attachment points. Though you could have different symmetric combinations using the even points (think like a squeezed X) I guess odd number bar configurations would indeed need different attachment points to keep it symmetrical.

What I was thinking was 2, 4, 5, and 7 armed bars, if we had to limit it, othermise we could do other amounts too.
Why have them made up for each one? Wouldn't it be simpler and more fun if we just had a small disc slightly bigger than the width of an extender with sayyyy 10 attachment points to make your own homemade tri-quad-dual-sextuple-etc etc bar. That way we can just have different arms and in different shapes and sizes. People could design it mixed up or whatnot.

*ACAMS picking on Sparkey*
Reported! Wait... uhm... I just reported ACAMS to ACAMS. That's not going to get me very far. :P Seriously though, don't derail this thread. It's one of the rare ones that actually doesn't royally suck. Thanks.

I wish we could just make a section of the forum called "the Playground". Instead of banning members that act like 4 year olds, mods could just limit their account so that they can only post in the "Playground"... They can fight amongst themselves there and not spam up the board all over the place. When a captive of the playground can prove they are capable of being mature and rational... they are allowed back onto the rest of the forums.
Oh... and I think Serge should be an Admin :P

While I hadn't really intended for this topic to spur some more religion debates. I do understand how it is essentially inevitable for the two debates to intertwine. I, personally, do not follow or practice any particular religion myself. Like Rolo, I consider myself to be agnostic. While I do respect what others believe and follow (that IS the purpose of free will, to believe what they want) I also observe others and how they conduct themselves in their respective religions.
I spent an entire year reading and studying the Bardo Thodol (the Tibetan Book of the Dead). The book is, essentially, a guide to prepare for the afterlife and the ceremonies that take place during and leading up to the death experience. The belief structure is based very keenly on Buddhism. With that, there is the also the Buddhist belief that there are many many many Gods. And each of them represent different things. Depending on how you conduct yourself during your life you will face different gods in the afterlife. When you are presented to those gods in the afterlife you will be judged. Fascinating indeed. The part that I found the most valuable in reading the Bardo Thodol is that it puts a strong emphasis on taking responsibility for your actions every day. Putting the best effort you can into being peaceful and enjoying the gift of life while you have it.
It is argued in the book that other cultures adopted similar beliefs but simplified the whole she-bang by dividing the afterlife into Heaven and Hell. Because human beings have this horrible desire to separate things into Black and White answers without shades of gray. This is why religious stalwarts end up making pretty harsh judgements upon others because they try desperately to line up their "right and wrong" with "black or white" beliefs and core values. And... even more unfortunately, there is a huge segment of the religious population that basis their core values based on what they were taught by their leaders. This is when you get extreme people killing in the name of Allah. I mean c'mon really? Do you really think that Allah wants you to kill other human beings so much? Seriously, if there is an afterlife and people have to answer to Gods about what they did... there there are going to be a ton of confused human beings in the afterlife wondering why they are in so much trouble.
So anyways, most of your answers are awesome. There is no right or wrong answer to this debate. Most of you expressed that you got more to accomplish in life before you die. Excellent! Accomplish those things. Don't slow down. I thought it was actually funny that Sonny said I was possibly directing this debate at the older people on the forum. I actually hadn't really considered directing it at anyone in particular. But I did want you all to think about it. Death... is inevitable. What you do before then is very much in your control.
Narrator: [Tyler steers the car into the opposite lane and accelerates] What are you doing? Tyler Durden: Guys, what would you wish you'd done before you died? Ricky: Paint a self-portrait. The Mechanic: Build a house. Tyler Durden: [to Narrator] And you? Narrator: I don't know. Turn the wheel now, come on! Tyler Durden: You have to know the answer to this question! If you died right now, how would you feel about your life? Narrator: I don't know, I wouldn't feel anything good about my life, is that what you want to hear me say? Fine. Come on! Tyler Durden: Not good enough.

I guess I saw match 17 coming. I did suggest a half sheet instead of a 4th firestorm flipper on the back.
Hahah. You are never going to let me live that one down eh? :D I probably could have spent some more time on the bot and had both actually... oh well. Excellent tourney JB. This is crazy fun stuff.

Ohh yeah, Scraps in it, but i cant remeber which one you sent me. (What was it called again?) So, with that, since i cant be bothered to redo the table, Pod F will now hold 4 bots rather than 3 (Bot A will fight Bots B,C & D, bot B will fight C & D and bot C will fight Bot D, so in all, 4 fights) so that i can get ashman 12 in (youre lucky! :P)

Heh, when I was that age my principal threatened to suspend me for wearing a Bart Simpson tee shirt. It read: "Underachiever and proud of it man!"
XD
2 inch lego gun eh? Priceless stuff... Welcome to the USP (United States of Paranoia) If I were rich, single, and had time, I would buy that little plastic gun and do a documentary of where it would get me into trouble. Could I bring it onto an aircraft? Would they let me bring it into the White House during one of those public tours? Could I give it to an prison inmate as a present?
I bet the reactions to that little plastic gun would be worthy of a movie documentary.

Edit: if the weakest link takes care of business i mean.
