These rules are sooo confused.
Should be an usual DSL tournament, but the bots must be replicas YOU BUILT YOURSELF.
If you clear up the rules however and do not mess with custom components however, i'm in.

I agree with the general predictions, but i am 99% sure SK3 Tabletop (SO DAMN OLD) uses 4 ants and 2 battlepacks and as such is underpowered.

I agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD in Sage's post.
Also Rich - please check other's showcases (the good builder's ones) for ideas and advice.

There isn't any rule on BFE'ing.
But still a nifty on that chassis... that was so obvious...

Thats why i don't have problems with BFE if it could be done in real life.
I BFE'd a bunch of things in NAR AI... Top Dog is so full of it i learned a bunch of things about BFE on that bot, as well as Rockslide... the wheels as well when there is some halfsheet or disc blocking them, and i did the same exact thing that SSG did on Genius Loci and probably HotSpot.

I have a rammer in preparation but i am lazy to build it because of assloads of snapper loading, and i'm not skilled enough to build it entirely in BFE.

Inf is like that.
Now, as you can do it, please write in normal English, either you'll still be criticized and Inf isn't the only one to do it...
Believe me, we already had cases like that (some newbie not typing properly), and 90% of the time it doesn't ends well at all.

Unless you're using more than one weapon on each end of the tribar, NO. EXTENDERS. ON. THE. TRIBAR.
Not only you are wasting weight but they can get your hammers ripped off quickly if you get a hit on them.
Edit: Last one is much better.
Edit2: Nice quad post

Just figured how that AI works, and it is very nice. The bot sit-and-spins much slower however, but i suppose it can't be helped...
I'll try to tweak my bindings more to increase spinup speed, like using 'spinspeed'... i think it will decrease translation speed, but i think it's worth it.
What is 'accuracy' exactly ?

He can do that with axle loading or BFE. I am guessing he did it with the former, just like i did with Feeblemind.

I told you that 7 ants are good for that bot... the 20kg black batts suck.

Just wire the flamethrower to the drive (ForwardBack command), so it can use the flamethrower glitch (the flamethrower does not loses strength if it is wired on an analog)
And Omni.py is better for that IMO because a flamethrower bot works better when pinning.
See Red Drake 4.
Edit: However, an AI with a 'Spin' command using an analog control (rather than a button or switch like in the normal 'Spin' command) would be good.

All of you guys, STOP.
This is becoming stupid, this showcase is NOT some battlefield for you to vent.
I have not a lot of authority so Kill please do something.
@Rich: The previous one was better in battery and extender work (the drive is good on that one though)
...I really need to update my DSL basic tips wiki page and get a link to it every time a newbie posts a showcase, ra2techs.htm style.
