What a tournament it's been, man. Shame it's almost over. Come oooon, rumble!
Can't do the rumble format that you did with all these bots. Might do a few in a skinned combat arena. You can also make requests for grudge matches.
Grudge matches?

3rd place MW is up.
Wow, congrats Sheild for placing 3rd in your first ever tournament. Podium finish. Not bad, not bad. Looking forward to BB7

I'll work on the supports.
Eventually.

If your gonna enter those into BB7 when it eventually comes around, you're gonna need some bar support. Those Tornado Mer Gearboxes have pretty low HP from what I remember, but like you said, they're gonna be hard to hit. I kinda like it for some reason though.
Praise from my role model You'd need to be lucky to hit those Gearboxes, but one hit is all it takes. And about bar supports, is there an example I can refer to?

Alright, fixed the whole spinning problem. (Thanks 090901) But now I'm trying to decide which is better. I've just made another version of Storm (See page 10) which I have nicknamed Eye Of The Storm. It has two Tornado Mer Gearboxes instead of 132's. Insides: Now, you're probably asking, "What's the difference?" Well, besides having more exposed motors, Eye Of The Storm also has slightly more power if I'm not mistaken. But the change in performance is definitely significant. Battleshots: Eye Of The Storm Storm The difference between these two is that Eye Of The Storm has the ability to send most opponents airbourne when those hammers hit. Storm can still do decent damage, but it lacks that advantage as well as being less destructive. So, Storm has weaker motors, but the motors are much harder to hit than EOTS', Eye Of The Storm has the ability to overturn opponents giving it an advantage against bots that can't srimech as well as leaving them vulnerable to attack when they land. Which one would be better to enter into a tournament(BB7)?

list.append(("Storm","Omni",{'nose':math.pi*2,'radius':0.1,'topspeed':100,'throttle':130,'turn':60,'turnspeed':2.5,'weapons':(4,)})) Make sure the BUTTON that spins your weapon is a BUTTON named "Spin" (S is capitalized, no quotation marks). It needs to be a button. Cannot be a switch. It worked for me.
You don't say?

Still no. It refuses to spin unless it touches it's opponent.

I'm having problems, I gave Storm two Tornado Mer Gearboxes, I AI'd it as Omni, but for some reason it won't spin until the opponent charges right at it. Am I doing something wrong?

Will there be a awards section for this? Like crowd favorite and all of that?

Razor guy run.
GOING FOR GOLD
As you destroyed my family's honour by beating me, it's now your destiny to go on and win this thing. Or at least get a podium finish.
I'm facing MikeNCR in the next round. Not liking my chances at all...

I'll give this one to you SHIELD, you got me. But I've got another middleweight in the works that will wipe Mantis off of it's windshield.
Tehe...
Also something came off of one of the robots so I think the good doctor got a piece of Mantis before going down.
Yea, one of my beaters flew off

I'm trying to make a bot that has so much force that it can do damage to the opponent when it fires it's flipper OR when the opponent lands.
Would this be possible to achieve?

Oh, BSG's are powerful enough. You just need 6 of them to flip stuff well.
And good luck with making that IRL enough. :P
No, just no, 4 was enough trouble. Now I'm wondering, if, and this is a big if, I do manage to make a bot that flips other bots OOTA for BB7, will Massimo DQ it? Or is it legal?

How did Smashbox 2 manage to get it to work so perfectly? I used 4 Mags and all it did was give it's opponent a slight lift.

Still badly powered
a pure HW flipper like this needs a good wedge, good armor, decent speed and good flipping power. You need a faster bot and stronger armor.
you need 8 PC625's and nothing more.
This is often why I question the use of Betas on flippers, since there are tonnes of compromises necessary for a burst that capable of hit too easily and that has levels of power that are often unnecessary. I'd stick to Bsgs or small JXs personally.
Bsg's aren't powerful enough. Or maybe I didn't add enough power...
