Since we have a whole lotta newbies come in, I'd like to tell you guys that I really wanna retry this project.

I'd like to ask sparky if he'd like to make that AI pack, send as many bots he'd like at me, I'll AI them.

In short, a lot of components get fixed, RA1 bots are rebuilt, and some awesome UI added.

As far as I can tell.

Also, For the lolz, an extra weight class

You've seen my bot, and in all honesty I think the Drum and VS compliments it.

However, The popup is just too good looking, even though I hate Firestorm Flippers.

I'd choose the popup...

Some bots by Rudukai13. And it led to some interesting finds.

"The firs is a robot that was inspired by another robot on the forum. It's called RETHOS. It is a "concept" robot, where I built it on the premise that it would not work very well, but it actually is my best/favorite robot so far. It works very well on it's side but this it is now self righting. It works great and is surprisingly strong. *I know this looks alot like Lugicia's recent robot, and it certainly does. I had a design that worked very well for a long time, and then Luigicia posted his bot and talked about putting servos on it, and I thought that would help this robot, so I rebuilt it with servos. If it upsets Luigicia, I can remove this robot from the showcase, but I felt that since it was my favorite robot I should show it.*"

At this point Luvekian Rants:

"First off: guys, chill out. You're bickering like little kids on a freaking elementary school playground, 'Oh, my mom could beat up your mom" "no she couldn't, dood use square extenders" "no they're the same" "no they aren't."

Second: Square extenders, as many have observed, have slightly more weight than round ones. They are the same strength. The reason to use round ones instead of square is to save that weight for other uses. The thing is, when you're dealing with a piddling one or two kg, it really doesn't matter much unless you're teetering on a line between two classes. but it's also true that square extenders look different, to some people cooler, and are easier to find and align side attachment points on...so they have that going for them. it's a personal choice, and when the line between classes isn't within only a few kg, it really DOESN'T matter because you can't add a weapon or upgrade armor with only 5 KG.

Third: If I may offer a suggestion, you're using a few too many batteries. Even three DDT's and two HP Z-Teks shouldn't need FOUR Supervolts. Try it with two and see if you can go for three minutes without running low on power. With the later bot (don't remember the name, maybe Vampyre Slayer) you could probably suffice with fewer of the small battery packs and use that weight to put on a few more weapons to the tribar.
One way to do that is to slap on a 20cm extender, then select the side mount point for another one and attach it onto the previous one. That way you have used very little space to give yourself TWO weapon attachment points, rather than just one. For examples see almost any thread on the showcase.

Those are some suggestions that I have, hope they help."

And Vertigo suddenly goes on the attack like sage:

"Okay, elementary playground might be, but it's NOT "one or two kg". Bots don't simply use 40cm of extender, it's accualy much more. Every 20cm you use, you more than double the weight of the extenders used in your robot.

Example: One of my HW VS's, picked from random, uses 440cm's of extenders. not much at all and they're plenty of robots with more. That's 44kg's with round extenders. With square it would EASILY top 90 kg's, with the calculations it would be more. 45kg's is JUST 1 or two kg's? No, with that much weight you could do lots.

Is it worth it? Comon people, if you're too lazy to freaking get the extenders facing the right way don't showcase the robot. My $.02. Maybe you feel that the weight gain isn't relavent. I certainly do but it's just my opinion.

Anyways, cannons aren't allowed in tourneys or anything. Might wanna rebuild it as a hammer, it seems like the closest design. For tips, try to focus on only 1 or 2 weapon designs. Bots with multiple weapons fighting against each other isn't really helpful in combat. The one you posted with the hammer and stuff all on 1 might lose to a Starcore LW, and certainly would lose against an MW. If you focused on 1 design it would be more powerful. For the HS, it is totally possible to make it an MW. 2 bots entered in BBEANS have an extra snowplow in relation to your bot and are MW's. It looks cool but I don't think it could do much. Keep in mind you only need 1 supervolt.

BTW for multibots, you use bot file editing (Don't ask how) and 1 of the bots will need saws or discs for drive. Wheels don't work on the 2nd bot."

technically it is, because the chassis is 1.7, one ant and one small CB. 13.2KG on a poly carb extender

This is true, but a minimum doesn't means creating a critical weak point.

I have a Rammer with 2 70KG hammers and 2 razor tips. The bot never loses it's weapon rack, and is impossible to beat with popups. The point? It uses one po;ycarbonate connection point, which holds the chassis to everything else.

People should take risks when building. If it fails it fails. If it works you have a new bot.

Perhaps if SOME people did that BFE wouldn't be so common. *HINT HINT*
