Am I the only one who saw GTG's post and thought "How the heck did SOTG get -34 rep that quickly"?
And I voted for Geice, Scrap and NFX

Don't spike strips have normals
I love it. I tried to make a horizontal clampbot as one of my bots. Never thought of doing it that way though.

3 seconds. Am I doing it right?
It took many, many tries to get him out.
And I had to drive it myself, because AI is somehow incapable of holding forward down.

I'm going on the slim chance he's still writing Ziggy's and Explosion's testimonials.

Honorable Mention 2011:

Anticide - The dominant UK antweight, Andrew Hibberd's tiny flipper claims to be the most successful ant of all time. The chassis was made on a 3-D 'printer'. Successes include three consecutive Antweight Fighting Robot World Series wins.
Gyrobot - This odd antweight has no wheels, legs, or treads. It moves by inducing a gyroscopic reaction in its vertical spinning blade to tilt the robot from side to side and rotate by precession! Builders love strange designs.
Kronic - A full-pressure heavyweight flipper from the UK with a long record of success: 2005 Roaming Robots champion, 2006 International Challenge winner, 2010 Team Bud Challenge champion, and Fighting Robots Annihilator champion for 2010 and 2011.
Warrior SKF - Another oddball design beloved by builders. This Team Whyachi heavyweight flipper is powered by energy stored in a horizontal spinning ring. It's an intersting alternative to pneumatic flipper power, but hard on the flipper clutch!

Quote
The Master - Inducted 2011: The original 'thwackbot', The Master was a pioneer in interchangeable weaponry and the 'all in the wheels' drive train. Weapon modules included a grinding wheel, a lifter, and a long chain 'whip'. Mark Setrakian was co-winner of the 1995 Robot Wars heavyweight title with this creation, and it continued to compete for many years. Record: 8 wins, 4 losses.

Quote
Professor Chaos - Inducted 2011: The middleweight terror from WPI Combat Robotics has ruled the middleweight class in the U.S. since its first tournament in 2008 and has pummeled the top robots in the division. Record: 14 wins / 2 losses.

Ok, the master getting in surprised me. And the complete lack of bots like Ziggy and Hotstuff is sad.

I'd ditch the flipper extenders, get 120 cm skirts and mount the motors on the back of those.

No excuse.

I think Ziggy will do well on this one aswell, personally. Something must be wrong if it doesn't.
Well, i'm hoping it does well.

And check out iRacin for the most realistic (I'm a certified fanboy :gawe:). You have to be 13 though, and its pretty hard. And people hate "chipmunks", which are prepubescent little boys like you spamming the mic chat with your little high pitched voices.

Lol'd

Charlie's Inferno by That Handsome Devil.
I would link to it, but it only came out yesterday and it isn't on youtube yet.

Just sent my bots to Freeziez.
One i'm quite confident in. The other? Well, it depends if it lands butter side up.

May I take this oppertunity to say:
But still, I did well on the whole. Can't ask for much more than that.

So it didn't really cost a pound and a penny?
This is almost as bad as the time I found out Santa Claus died.

I'm not planning any custom components at the moment, but if I need any i'll be sure to ask.
And i'll try and make a bit more headway on this one on Tuesday when I have time to work on it. I have to admit i've hit a few mental blocks on this one. But they are just minor hurdles.

Better, definatly. But I would get rid of the flipper segments, possibly replace with a vertical extender of some sort to help with self righting. I would also invest in some frontal protection.
