Old forums were 10x more fun. Dunno why. Maybe it was because everyone was better than me.

Thanks for all the feedback!
Of course, the sound was recorded on a average camera and the mix wasn't perfect, so it's not gonna sound great. This was our 4th show, and the guitarists had troubles playing their solos with all those people getting their hands in the way >.> The downpicking is a problem, but he knows about it and has been working to double-pick. I do like my double pedal, but I try to variant the rhythms more than just straight 32nd notes. It is sorta a staple of metal music tho. Remember, the mp3 is a computer version with no vocals. Will sound much better when we record it with real instruments. @R0b0- I KNOW. I def wish we could come up with a better name. Also, stop picking fun at mine! :P 2068

We mean that only you could have enough awesome to build it :) If you'd be willing, that is... 2070

Doubt any of them are around. Nearly a century ago.

@Sparkey: Why would we use a terrible version of Arc Pounder for Spin Bonker? I mean they're similar but we were thinking more of an SnS like Pillar of fire for spin bonker.
I found this on the second page. There's probably still some useful things from this post we can use. After spending a majority of my day yesterday looking at the internals, bindings, and competitiveness of every bot in the pack, I can now safely conclude that I probably missed some things :P I've already removed the things that were previously mentioned by other beta testers, some of my extra comments, and ways of reducing weight when I wasn't sure of what to use the weight for. I also removed the bots that I didn't have any problems/comments for. I don't expect you to fix all the problems that I listed (that would take forever and would have little impact on the overall experience) but hopefully some of the info will be helpful for you. 2073

Contests / Re: BOTM Ideas and Discussion« on: January 30, 2011, 09:55:34 PM »
The challenging thing about stock HW hs is that BECAUSE there are so many, the challenge in building an effective AND original one is that much higher. Thus, good BOTM. No one would really vote for a generic 36HS that's been built before.

Modifications / Re: The DSL 3.0 preview thread« on: January 30, 2011, 09:31:39 PM »Normals idea is awesome. yep. make everything do damage! (perhaps the extenders are a softer material (thus much less damage) than the weapons, due to being relatively MUCH lighter?) 2077

I would feel better if the extender work was inside the chassis (could just rotate the snapper II 180 degrees). Wedges good?

Normals idea is awesome.
However, to make it more realistic, there should be some damage from hitting the side of a weapon. I mean, if you imagine an iron spike in real life, smacking someone with the side of it will still hurt even if it doesn't do as much damage as stabbing them with it. 2080
