I don't know. I have extensively tested the weight distribution thing, rather the weight should be in front of or behind the metal hinge. The result seemed rather inconsistent.

change something to connect to the chassis rather than an extender.
That is cheating !
What about : if someone gets caught entering in a tournament with an illegal robot made with BFE (but in that case making a legal robot with BFE is not an offense), we can perfectly ban him from other tourneys forever.
They usually go undetected in game play, even when it's made obvious. Just look at when backlash first came out, when all VS components are indestructible. People just don't suspect these kind of things. Therefore, for this to be enforceable, the tournament host have equal or greater BFE skills than the cheater, and A LOT more patience. Checking for that 0 in every single component is tedious work. It's the kind of stuff you have to look through every single line of codes carefully to find.

I am not sure if it can be made more clear than the PyRa2 guide already on tutorial.
The problem with teaching BFE is that it allows everyone to easily "cheat a little bit". Change certain components to weapons, change something to connect to the chassis rather than an extender. Then every tournament host will have to look hard in every bot files to catch all those little things.
It's one of those things that is bad enough for a few people to know, and will be disastrous if everyone knows.

Lol so it out wedge my Soda Pop?
I never get this whole wedge thing anyway. It seems completely inconsistent with all the theories people proposed.

I do not think that Naryar or anyone else for that matter is actually able to construct the bot he just showcased. Therefore, the bot is illegal.
It's fairly easy actually. Just put 2 to 3 storm piston to it every time you put down a skirt hinge. It will fly away allowing you to stack a second one of top by flashing to control/build. Once you lay out your skirt hinges, hit the pause button, go to test bot, come back to build, and delete the storm piston. Putting on the razor is the ez part since u can rotate the hinge. I used this trick for some of those potter wheels design. As far as "reducing BFE". Yes it reduces people from talking about it, so it give the appearance that less people are employing it. The paradox is that neither theories can be proven as long as nobody will admit to BFE. Yes chassis shortening shouldn't be allowed. Shortening beyond the legal value (0.338182) is very much impossible in botlab and is outright cheating. I don't know why people will even consider allowing that. Obviously it provides an unfair advantage or nobody will bother doing it. And Joe is right. BFE usually leave some trace. I BFE enough to know how nearly impossible it is to be "indistinguishable from a legitimately build bot" from the trained eyes.

This also means that accusation simply prevents people from admitting to BFE, and does not reduce BFE.
So the real choice becomes, do you want people to be open about it? Or do you want people to keep their mouth shut?

I think BFE is fine as long as it is indistinguishable from a legitimately build bot. After all, innocent until proven guilty. And unless the person admits to it, you can't tell.
One issue though: In stock, you can legitimately stack 4 blacks into one using just your skill in stacking. However, it takes so long to do that no one ever bothers. But with BFE it is quite easy. Is that still a legitimate use?
If someone did just that, and claim it was done legit, how do you prove him guilty? Again I was not arguing based on moral ground, but that it is unenforceable.

The tournament Arena need to have higher walls than that. Would be pretty stupid for 1 flip = instant win.
