(I am actually pleasantly surprised at the variety of bot designs I've been getting.)

*wipes sweat off brow*

Got the first page updated with the latest entries.  We're halfway there now, plus four more people who need to resubmit their bots.

CB: My entry, has a problem, the weapon will not appear and the bot will havok, if you do not pause the game before you go into a match. (showcased)

Sorry, I can't pause the game before every match because it can affect the other bots.  Some bots will explode at the beginning of the match if you pause-load.  You'll have to find some other fix for the problem.

HELP I'M DROWNING IN BOTS

Updated the first page with the entries I got and approved last night.  (S.T.C. your bot is unrealistic; see PM)  Please allow several years while I sift through the 30+ entries I just got.

I can't believe the bracket is already over half full.  This has to be the fastest it has ever filled up.

Winning by points is perfectly fine.

But posting 9 giant .bmps at once isn't!

Changed your pictures into links; next time please make them jpg's or png's.

Click, I sent my entry before the topic was posted, but after your midnight. Does that count?

I won't nitpick about a 15-minute early entry.  I did say midnight so it's OK.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?!?!
YES!!!

I believe this won't be overrun with flail HS's and SnS's!

Also, you had a perfect opportunity to name that bot Crucifixion or Exorcist or something (the cross-shaped chassis), and you passed it up.  Shame on you.

The bot does look very dangerous though.  Should get far.

ehehehe it was very funny :P

I knew it from the start as I look through the "meat" of an arena before diving in and playing it :P

ARGH and I disguised it so well too!  I thought, "Surely nobody will bother to decompile the gmf, or open up any of these random .tga's with long names."  I suspected you might peek at the .py, though, so I added a bunch of misleading comments and unnecessary code from the real Keznorg IGC py.

Well I got some of you at least

Oh, and speaking of the real Keznorg IGC, here it is:

http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/keznorgIGC.zip

And as an extra bonus, here is the Seizure Arena (yes that's really what it's called):

http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/seizure.zip

The real Seizure Arena has a different wall skin (makes it look even worse IMO) and you can turn off the flashing background by turning hazards off.

It's always taken several weeks to fill up the brackets in previous BBEANS.  Usually there's a rush of entries at the beginning, then a lull where I might get one or two entries a day, and then another rush as the registration deadline approaches (however, since I always end up extending registration anyways, I will just not set a deadline this time).

So it should be safe to get some sleep.

Buzzard wheels are like rubber wheels; they're even almost exactly the same diameter.  The reason you would want to use them is to get slightly lower ground clearance on a wedge bot.  However, most people just use shinies, or rubber wheels instead of buzzards (because buzzards don't look good on all bots, I'm guessing.)

Technically I can send my bot in 3 minutes.

No, you have to wait until I post the registration thread in Signups.  Which I will do about four hours from now (midnight my time).

My entire family was on a swordplay showdown binge for a while.  Firebeetle was the only one who got really far though; I think he got to the seventh reversed stage.

I've done a lot of archery.  Anyone found/hit any of those secret targets? (I have the stamp for hitting all of them.  Boy some of those were really wicked.)

Remember this arena from RA1?

I finally finished the necessary tweaks to get it ready for RA2.  This is one of FB's projects that he started and never quite finished.

Don't get flipped over the fence... it's a long way down.

Although I can't make the random hazards that appear in the RA1 Keznorg, I can take a bit of artistic license.  It always bothered me how in the description it said that the fence is electric when, in fact, it is an ordinary fence.  No longer.  This fence functions similarly to the fence in the Electric Arena 2, with one important difference.  The damage you take starts out very low.

So you can tap the fence and get away mostly unscathed.  But if you happen to be pinned on the fence...

The damage increases the longer you stay on it.  Eventually, the damage caps at 50, which is enough to KO you if your chassis HP is depleted.  You don't want to sit on this fence any longer than you have to.

>Get it here<  Just unzip it in your Arenas folder and you should be good to go.

Ummm, scoot the middle motors forward?  I can imagine HS's ripping off all the edge razors before the middle weapons see any action.

Awesome bot.  And disc skins.  It's actually a lot like RPB, weapon-wise.

Edit: Oh yeah and happy birthday!

"having normals" means that a component only does damage in certain directions.  Examples: pole spikes and saw blades.  It's a problem because this generally reduces damage output, even if the weapon is swung in the correct direction.

I think you need longer weapons to make a dangerous undercutter.  I would use less front armor on YFM (Piglets are durable enough) and use a big enough weapon to hit under HS's unscathed.  But it does look good against rammers and possibly popups if you had weapons on the bottom of the disc.

The VS looks good but unstable.  I would use lighter wheels and try to get some static (non-hinged) front supports.

Fun fact:  the E-tek sound effect was recorded from Defy Ant's weapon spinning.  So it's natural for it to sound scary

(Incidentally, the NPC sound effect was recorded from Defy Ant's drive motors.)

Looks like a really good SnS there.

Last-minute change of plans.  My entry actually isn't going to be Bisector.  It's going to be

Just gotta AI the darn thing... it's significantly more complicated than Bisector (and I thought THAT was hard.  AIing Bisector was child's play compared to this.)

No pics at the moment because I'm still tweaking it.  And so Somebody can't clone it and quick upgrade his shell spinners so he can beat it.

Edit: And I'm seeing a lot of SnS's in here... just remember people, there's a big spinny thing in the middle of the arena, and melty brain AI's are incapable of avoiding obstacles...

That bot actually looks cool, and moderately threatening with all those ramming spikes.  If you didn't specify it was a WreckTangle I never would have guessed.

A serious combat-worthy version would be cool.
