@man manu: 2. not even math really.
heres a question:
theres an undefined line and a line with the slope zero. they are perpendicular to each other. whats the slope of the undefined line? The undefined line cannot be the graph of a function, since in a function no argument can result in more than one value (where in this case, there is an infinite numbers of values).

If you can't manage to find it in the usual places (a bay of pirates, a chipped rock, a small nova), I'm afraid you won't be able to use the software itself.

It does infact, so now how do I recompile it? You still have to wait... I already spent the whole weekend (4 hours of sleep) to get the GMF library to work properly. Once reading from ASCII files is implemented (and it is quite hard, since I plan on making it error proof and resistant to misplaced whitespaces and newlines), the compilation part will be ready.

I don't see how the hell do you jump from a-1=(a-1)*(a+1) to a-1=a+1...
And you forgot something important: the equation a^2 =1 admits TWO values of a: a=1and a =-1. So, a=1 => a^2=1 goes one way (the opposite isn't true) but all of the others goes both way (mathematical symbol <=>).
With a=-1 the thing works.
I bet that can be solved by imaginary numbers but I'm too lazy to use them now.
Yeah, I'm a math nerd. The first error was fixed, my bad, I am tired, refresh the image. As for the confusion with a^2... I am nowhere telling that sqrt(a^2) = 1, so I do not need absolute values or deal with multiple cases.

Looks Russian, or something Venko would come up with. Yes, it is Russian. As I know some cyrillic (no, I am not russian, and Poles do use the latin alphabet): *someword* Navigator 2005 - probably the title of a magazine. Some english-sounding words: ФОЛОВМИ, which is read follovme, and was probably meant to sound like Follow Me. ВЕЛКОМ, which is read vielkom, probably means Welcome. Also, rabotv za implanti, read rabotav za implante, which means: Will work for implants / spare limbs.

How did you get " a - 1 = a + 1 " ? I divided both sides by (a - 1). No, sh** dammit, I made a mistake. I'll fix the image in a sec.

It's probably because you're running Windows Vista . Easy AAM method: 1) Replace the target weapon GMF file with the T connector GMF file (be sure to make a backup!) 2) Run game, attach target weapon (with the mesh of a T connector) to the desired place, close game 3) Replace back the original GMF file.

Well, I'd say it is quite useful.
TO use it, just drag and drop the GMF file over the exe icon, it will load it.

Here it is. Tell me if you find any bugs, and if you do, upload the gmf file that is causing errors. This is a public BETA, which means there may and probably will be bugs. This is NOT the gmftoolkit I am working on. This is NOT YET a fully-featured 3d GMF mesh editor (*hint*). This is just so you guys can help me debug my upcoming GMF library. Thanks in advance. http://code.google.com/p/gmftoolkit/downloads/listOh, and it PROPERLY decompiles the carsteering.

Hello everyone,
I am looking of a couple (approximately five) beta testers for my new GMF toolkit. The main job will be decompiling .gmf files by using a beta tool I am going to send to you. Basically, I just need you to test most of the .gmf files in your game folder (including components and arenas), to see if the decompiler reads them properly.
However, as a beta tester, I require you to: - be able to use a command-line tool, since it probably won't have a GUI ready yet - have knowledge about the ASCII GMF file structure, and be able to find error in the dummee-like syntax - be patient enough to report all the bugs and crashes you see, and I mean EVERY bug - knowledge of a programming language, espacially C++ (HTML/CSS does NOT count here) is a big plus
If you're interested in contributing, reply to this thread. I will reply via PM to those who I finf competent enough, and in under a week, you will recieve the beta toolkit, since I still have some things to sort out.
Thanks in advance,
Serge

Can't get your contact/address link (bazanski@gmail.com) to work.... Don't see any probs on my end, so far... That's strange. I am on MSN right now! Oh, and I started working on a new GMF (de)compiler. See first post for details.

That compiler madiaba posted a link to was a quick fix by me. I am wondering, should I create a complete rewrite of the compiler, but this time in C++?

Serge, may I look at and through what you've decompiled? I've a couple ideas myself. I'm assuming this thread is for mutual feedback, and I'll also post for discussion anything significant... (PM or email is fine.) For instance, I've seen this 'Bot weight' section in my hacked version of the exe, but I'd like to see it (and several other parts) in a hopefully 'cleaner environs'. Thanks. Contact me over MSN, bazanski@gmail.com. I'm on about 10PM - 00AM my time (GMT+1).

The ALLWEIGHT is very mysterious. Very. Seems to be soem sort of debug rank left after programming. Probably triggered in the .bot file.
