I'd say it's between #1 and #6 mostly. #3 is good too. #2 and #5 are fine but I don't feel they're as much of a spectacle. That unused weight too..

Guess I'll post mine then. Pretty typical, uninterrupted test. BT hasn't got fibre optic at the local phone exchange yet. Even though we're on the outskirts of freaking London.

That makes sense. The speed they give you is in megabits not megabytes. 1 Mb (megabit)  is 0.125 MB (megabytes)

And now I feel like an asshole, because I shafted BT for my misunderstanding. But I was right about getting 20kb/s a lot of the time. My speed drops so hard their own speedtester can't read it (if the page even loads) and for some reason I can barely connect to my router's IP address during that time. Which is intriguing.

I pay for 20mb, I get 20kb to 2mb.

Well, I haven't seen any tracked vehicles spaz out lately. Then again I haven't seen many tracked vehicles.

Mega SMG looks good, but I've got 60 T10 tech points, not 900, and 300k, not 1 mill.

I could do it but I've never done competitive before. Switched to mostly stock Demo/Heavy stuff to train, but I have no frame of reference for how well I'd actually do

EDIT: They can frustrate me but I can keep up with my Silver friends

If you can judge what my bot is doing better then me, the creator and tester of it, be my guest. x)

The motor in the chassis actually does like.. 90% of the work. Wonky physics. Think of a HS (possibly even a shell spinner to reflect how the tribar doesn't turn when the chassis does) turning on the spot and you've got how it controls and works.

No SHWs? Damn. Means I can't get an accurate reading for power. A few 600kgers but no 800kg bots.

Thanks to whoever a long while back for reintroducing me to Keldian. I swear I've come across F.T.L during my power metal travels but didn't give it the chance it deserved.

Ironforge TC Showcases / Re: Red's Hall of Lame: Ironforge Edition
« on: January 16, 2015, 05:41:58 PM »

That didn't take long at all. Huh. Had to take it through a free M4V editor/exporter though so I lost the source quality. And then I dropped the GIF into Imageready which dropped the colours to 256. Ah well.

The wheels certainly make contact with the floor - you can see them bend. No, the physics for it are just completely wonky (or RA2 is ahead of it's time with Omniwheels). When the wheel motors aren't being used for spinning, the robot can turn and drive (the purple/red edge is forward orientation) perfectly. Except when the robot turns, only the chassis actually turns on it's axle, and the rest of the bot just stays as it is (Yes, it can be still)

I've seen hits for 4000, the real damage is how it just blows things away. I've also got a full 800kg version with 8 hammers on each point that I could enter into 090901's tourney. That's a bit overkill.

UPDATE: Hit 6700 on Siege Engine. Is there even a SHW in base Ironforge? I can't tell.

No problem mate, and thanks.

Now for something new.

This probably isn't legal. Then again, no clipping. At all.
I want to get a looping gif of it spinning. The way it changes colours looks so cool.

Doubtful I'll be able to make this one. Nothing I can build in stock will be good enough for the standards of years back, let alone today.

Blimey, I made my last bot specific showcases in 2009. I feel old.

Anyway. Ironforge. I don't have anything new to show at the moment, but I might as well make it. That, and I have to make good on my promise to release Little Toy Car to everyone, huh?

My November 2014 BOTM entry. More showy then killy, I remember not having a good time fighting other robots in its weight class. Wins were possible, just hard to come by.

And here's the December 2014 BOTM winner, Little Toy Car. Pretty fun to drive. Using the boost button (i.e a button that sets the steering unit to drive forward) makes it very fast and able to turn on a dime. Here's a link to download it, included is the bot and the Photoshop PSD of the skin I made for it. Enjoy.

I play this again. My backpack isn't nearly as cool, mostly because 300 of my hours were essentially before the Mannconomy update. No crates, no strange stuff to get, the Gibus was actually cool, and the game had yet to become America's #1 war-themed hat simulator.

I'd be interested to see what they'd do for a TF3. But at the least give me a HD option for TF2 that tests my computer. My old computer rocked the ultra ultra high console adjustments (before they were removed) and that thing was garbage. Now I can't find any HD mods that work, or can't get them to work.

I didn't expect to have to necro this thread. Sorta.

Welcome me to T10. This is my chariot.

Chaos Theory. I ride it close to the floor and strike fast. Rudimentary tri-forcing and a straight line speed of 192km/h (reading thanks to that new free speedometer, I know booster-only is faster but this feels good), 8 thrusters mean 0 to 190 km/h in 2 or 3 seconds, and it can also go that speed uphill. I've seen it go 240~290km/h while turning (I assume it's because the hoverblades aren't going maximum speed in THAT direction so they kick in.) I suppose the one big flaw other then previous tier armor is 5 guns. It used to be wheeled (so nothing on the underside) but it only went 120km/h that way. I'll figure something out, but on my winning streak, I'm in no hurry.

Yep, it is. I think it's my third entry? Or it might be second. I might be confusing the 'first' entry for Ian's AW stock bots competition a while back.

Oh god, I just came back to see the results of a voting war. I voted for Domanating just now to see the result. 21-20. Oh jesus.

This victory does come with some guilt - it's true, the car is very loosely Christmasy. Without the splash, it could have been for any time of year. Then again, I guess that's true with any toy.
I'll probably upload the car for everyone to download, along with the Photoshop file for the skin.

My... guess is he wants to make something similar

I generally quit after I think I have nothing left to prove, or I just can't make any ground on them. Or they're using Rosalina, which generally co-incides with the latter.
